getting a DT 175 this summer when i have munee!!!!! for now im restoring a puch maxi S. that engine is like NOTHING. its literally a piston rod and crank, 2 gears and a centrifigul clutch w/ a manual 3 plate clutch for going up hills and for fat people who cant get the clutch to engage right!
@trx7000 ya i notice it also, dats the most problem of a two storke engine espicially a watercooled engine, bec,of the liquid running over the cylinderbore,yo cant hear it loud how the ring worning down,,
This is what I do when I'm not strugglin with my urge to drink. I have a mental illness and this is who I am. COOL SHIT IF YOU ARE CURIOUS WHAT'S INSIDE THAT OILY BITCH. lol
@moto93420 oooh. i remember fighting with the valve clearance for a good hour. 2 strokes would take me and have taken me about 3 hours to do a piston and reeds and carb ect. the 6-12 month tuneup.
Once you get that deep it gets very dirty and if u broke bearings u will have alot of broken pices of metal. U don't need gloves just some people wear em preference i guess i dont wear gloves.
@FelixTheHouseFreak well no offense but obviously you never opened a engine block. I know how hard it is to get it all out and all the stuff you have to be careful with. it is not easy. i have done it too its not easy, but yeah it is harder putting it back together
I have a problem with my dirt bike engine.. i do not know what is wrong with it, but i think it might be a compresion problem the spark plus is working fine... but i do not know what the problem could be ..... any help?
Wow that a very good dis-assemblying the engine, very fast. Are you trying to do major overhauling of the engine of that motorcyle? Can show about the electrical wirings fixed? lghts, horn, etc..
Wow that a very good dis-assemblying the engine, very fast. Are you trying to do major overhauling of the engine of that motorcyle? Can show about the electrical wirings fixed? lghts, horn, etc..
yo....ur insanly good at tht...how long did it take u to take it apart and put it back to gether again? and did it run when u put the motor back in the bike?
everyone should try fixin their own motor! its really fun and productive at the same time. i rebuilt my blaster 200 from top to bottom and im only 14. now go out there and fix a motor!
I took my old 2001 KX125 down to the frame and completely rebuilt the bike along with the motor when I was 13. I agree that it is fun, but when it comes to 4 strokes, forget that.. too complicated for me.
i got a yz250f and i was wonderin if anybody knew how often i should do a top end rebuild. i only put about 3 to 4 hours on the bike a month and im your average rider and i mostly do tracks and some trails. some people tell me not to mess with the engine unless if you hear funny noises or something unordinary but i dont want to be riding and have the engine blowup. im only 14 and if my engine blew up i could not afford the new parts so i dont know exactly what to do
I love that porn music!...lol Remember the easiest part is tearing it down. Putting it back together correctly is the hard part. Good job on your video...
I am not a stroke expert but it looks like you got a lot of carbon build up on that cylinder you might have something else going on beside craked bearings. They might look that why I am just comparing it to a car's cylinders.
Trial and error basically. I never rebuilt an engine before this one. I got some documents describing all the parts and some tips from a couple of mechanics. Then it's just a matter of putting everything back the way you find it.
Remember that every single piece has only one right place, it's just a matter of finding it and you can't mess up.
Taking it apart as well as taking it off the bike was a matter of a couple of afternoons. I did it slowly and carefully since it was the first time. The longest part is getting the right piston and having the new rod installed, finding all the bearings from local dealers in order to get them cheap and measuring every piece which might be out of tollerance. You don't want to leave something which is about to die and do all over again.
All in all it took me about two weeks, but I'd say working on the engine itself took about 16 hours. A good mechanic can do it in 5-6 hours, with the right tools and every component ready. But you'll pay for working hours and every piece from the house. The central bearings would've cost me 30euros each instead of 20 each from a local dealer.
interesting enough video but terrible taste in music

if you wait untill you hear funny noises, it might be to late... the piston can split an fall down and damage all the other parts in your engine...

The worst thing is the the carbon build up is running down the side which means the flame runs down and that tells me that the rings are bad.
