  • When I open the bat file after editing it it says: 'mcobj' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

  • @fudjud Figured it out

  • @fudjud what did you do? I had the same problem

  • @mdrensdey I ignored the dude in the video and used the "tempromental file". It worked fine for me, and there is less room for error. Let me know how you go

  • @fudjud I get the same problem :[

  • @fudjud My tut takes a min and does not require mcobj

  • Doesn't Work when it goes into blender. . .

  • @Apterygiformes I can do nothing for it, vise-versa

  • This tut does nothing for me :)

  • can u animate this like when u ur minecraft world on blender. can u animate it like having a moving person on it and creepers as well? coz it would be cool if u could i hope u can coz i got a great idea for a moview with my minecraft map thing

  • I am only getting the .mtl file and not the .obj

please help. I would appreciate it.

    thanks

  • Firstly, My name is also Ben and that will come into play

when i edit the .bat file then run it I get: C:\Users\Ben is not a directory

stat (My Last Name but without the paranthesis)\Appdata\Roaming so on and so forth.

Any idea how to fix that?

  • How can I export any map in windows xp?

  • i SO badly want to do this but im on a mac!

Can u PLEASE make a tutorial for a mac if u can do it on a mac!!

  • Gui won't render

  • or not

  • the name should be "how to explode your computer" lol

  • It doesn't really work: 'mcobj' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

What do i need to do?

  • is there a way to get a smaller part of the map? cause i can't edit it like this because it will make blender crash if i try to go into edit mode.

  • @funnybix Yes there is. Where the -s flag is, change the value from 40 to a smaller number. This is the number of chunks of the world that will be exported to blender.

  • Program crashes as soon as I run it, I tried the gui and it won't render it at all

  • Noooo its M C O B J , obj short for object, M C short for minecraft... macobjey?? srsly... lol but anyway, thanks . good tut :)

  • GREAT & HELPFUL but not for mac :(

  • @MinecraftHDFilms It is. Go to the website in his description.

  • "Mine is User"

Your address bar clearly shows your username (or the one you are using) is "Ben"

  • OMFG HOW MANY SHORTCUTS DO YOU HAVE????

  • @Tripleni Short cuts make start up time faster.

  • @Tripleni Wait those are acctual game folders not short cuts :O

  • this is so confusing

  • Shouldn't it be X and Z, not X and Y that you have to worry about? You need the horizontal plane.

  • thank you! subbedd!!

  • you sound like dartron

  • got a problem my blender crashed trying to do this help?

  • when i open my world in cinema.. all the blocks are white!

  • @SlowSlowSloth when you make the .obj file it makes a .mtl file too.

when you import the .obj file you need the .mtl file to be in the same folder

that the .obj file is when you import it.

  • @Danaan99 Thanks!

  • mcobj is not recognized as an internal command please help

  • @ORPHANSINABLENDER I had this same problem but I fixed it.

Extract everything from the original zip file you downloaded into your minecraft saves folder

    .minecraft/saves <<<

  • @BloodWing4000 THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH

  • @BloodWing4000 thanx this worked for me :)

  • please explain more, i dont understand a shit about the notepad part

  • if you do this to blender can you make a animation from it ?

  • Will I have to make changes for windows xp?

  • @Nick98l The only change you'll have to do is a few of the directories. In Winders 7, the Users folder replaces the Docs and Settings folder.

  • i love how at the end of this i would be sitting there playing with blender with two cups of tea

  • Works great for Cinema 4D, but it doesn't export the textures..

  • will it work with 2.59?

  • Jesus, I can't STAND messy desktops. Mine is all nice and organised.

  • @KingEndon1 lol same. I got a friend who puts EVERYTHING on his computer right on his desktop. he knows he has documents, pictures, videos, downloads. but he keeps putting everything on the desktop

  • How would you go about replacing those bland blocks that represent torches or flowers with actual textures? Also, how can you make the water look more natural by adding waves? I know you said how to change the torches but could you go into more detail?...maybe make another video?

  • i give up. when i clikc on the McObj.exe it just pops up for a split second, and i looked in my saves, and my user as well as desktop. please help me!!

  • @TheLuigi805 You don't directly run the McObj.exe file. You need to run the cmd commmands (the .bat file) with all of your properties in :)

  • @Apterygiformes2 oh.. XD thx... XDXDXDXDXD

  • whats the world seed???

  • @TheWoakus Sorry I have no idea

  • @Apterygiformes2 ok but can you plz find out.. the world looks kiinda cool ;)

  • @TheWoakus Honestly i do not know how i would be able to find out this world is about 6 months old. I could get you a world save if you want?

  • Im having a problem doing this. When i launch the .bat i get system cannot find the path specified. Even when i do it manually i get the same thing :\.

  • @5stm Make sure you are running the .bat file with the .exe and jcob file in the saves folder otherwise you will get something like that. Also make sure you edit the word "user" in the .bat file to your user name

  • @Apterygiformes2 ya i did that but it was acting up for some reason. I seem to have gotten it to work now :). guess it just needed a kick in the pants lol. It only works with the mcobj-gui thou. the .bat file or regular cmd trick doesn't want to work :\ , also i had to select the actual folder of the world to render for it to work. idk why

  • will this work on a mac?

  • Reply to meeeeee!!! :D

  • Why is there a tree floating in front of the pacman statue? =p

  • What do I do if the position of the "X-chunk" is negative? Coordinates of the point I want to render are x=-1298, y=68 and z=8960, but if I type in "-cx -81", McObj refuses to do anything useful. Using "-cx=-81" doesn't change anything, so I'm kinda stuck here.

  • How do you use noclip?

  • @shamlanooo1 Download Zombe Fly mod, google it :)

  • @Apterygiformes2 ok thanks.

  • after i put in the info i run RunMcObj but it says

    C:\Users\Michael Stone\Desktop\New folder (2)>cd C:\Users\Michael Stone\AppData\

    Roaming\.minecraft\saves

    C:\Users\Michael Stone\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves>mcobj -cpu 4 -s 35 -cx 8 -cz=5 -y 63 -bf -o Planeworld.obj C:\Users\Michael Stone\AppData\Roaming\.minec

    raft\saves\Planeworld

'mcobj' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

    operable program or batch file.

  • @mahoganychinchilla Make sure you copy all the files to the saves folder

  • Wow, the Ben>Appdata>Roaming>.minecraft>Saves looks SO familar, my names Ben too XD

  • @xN3BST3Rx Haha awesomes :D

  • Doesnt work for me at all im on an windows XP computer by the way. just says it cant find the path specified then further down it says:

Stat C:\Documents: The system cannot find the file specified.

stat and: The system cannot find the file specified.

stat settings\Compaq_Owner\application: The system cannot find the file specified.

stat Data\.minecraft\saves\newworld---: the system cannot find the file specified

It seems that its thinking all the spaces in the file location are separate files

  • i had a 20 chunk obj and it was 134mb, but you did a 40 chunk and yours was something 40mb?

  • @BlenderHelixAlpha Did you export the underground layers as well? On mine i set the vertical cut off to 63 (sea level) so i have no underground which saves a lot on memory

  • I thought he would virtually blend his world like in 'will it blend'

  • I HATE THE NEWEST BLENDER

god it gets me so mad

i need to relearn the entire program

  • @BLUYES422 It's horrible :( I was kind of hoping they would make an old blender ui that you could install but so far nothing :(

  • @Mr121cool2 Im an idiot i figured it out

  • awsome i hope it works in cinema 4d to

  • @dtluttik It does :)

  • @dtluttik

Cinema 4D does not import the textures.

  • Thank you!!

  • How do you move the camera around freely in blender???

  • @NoBlocks22 press "0" to enter into the camera and press SHIFT+F

  • @Rekedens Thanks heaps.

  • rad dude

  • Lol'd @dunkview message.

    Dunkey FTW.

  • Minecraft Highlights sent me

  • how .bat file ??

  • Can you put a Download Link for your Image Please

  • @EL1T3NERVE Sure i have put a download link in the description for you :)

  • @Apterygiformes Thankyou

  • Cool

  • mine comes up with 'mcobj' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. wat shud i do???

  • @Singo1999 Make sure you have copy and pasted all the files into the main saves directory for minecraft otherwise it will not work

  • what must i type in if my x coordinate is in the minus (-21)?

  • @destructor1996 I believe so yes but tell me if you have any problems doing that

  • @Apterygiformes2 yeah it worked, thanks :)

  • you wold is epic

  • @luccasmi2 Thankyou :)

  • Sweet you will be seeing content from me very soon

  • Hey maybe a dumb question, is there a way to make it more HD. in the sense that i could zoom way in to like a 40 chunck blender render and it wouldnt be so messed up? I have a pretty good computer, i was able to follow your vid and make render but i hate how messy it looks when you zoom way in. any help would be awesome thanks

  • @thatdayman Yes there is :) The reason it looked blurry when i zoomed in is because the image has already been rendered. If you move the camera so that it is lower down (closer to the mesh) and focusing on a specific piece of landscape, the blocks will not be blurred when you render the image. So either increase the size of the mesh (minecraft world) or lower the camera so that it is closer to the mesh :)

  • @Apterygiformes2 sweet dude thanks for the response, appreciate!

  • I can't watch the video today because I'm away and the connection is awful, does it convert the save into a .obj so you can import it right into maya/max or do you have to use blender to convert it first?

  • ill proberably do this when i get my new computer ^_^ Thanks :P

  • Silly me. I'm an idiot and didn't put those files in that saves folder....
