i went to la boca 9 months ago..but it was my 2nd time in argentina i love it there!!!! first time i was there for 6 months in the capital buenos aires then i went last summer for a month i wish it could have been longer!!
A good way to hear Argentine Spanish is to Google internet radio stations from Buenos Aires. A good one is 92.7 FM. It's an all tango format, but they have news updates regularly.
It is very nice city FULL OF THIEVES and PICK-POCKETS.
DO NOT USE IN THE SUBWAY.
WATCH YOUR BACK AT ALL TIMES.
CHOOSE YOUR TAXI DRIVER CAREFULLY.
WATCH OUT FOR ARGENTINE INFLATION.
WEAR EARPLUGS. IT IS EXTREMELY NOISY.
MOSQUITOS ARE EVERYWHERE.
LA BOCA STINKS BADLY.

they speak spanish but you can understand each word too...unlike puerto ricans who speak soooo fast!!! but u should go it is really nice there!! :)
