@ProjectBerklee Oh, I am very sorry, but I don't really have the source code for this program anymore (or at least, with me right now, as I did not bring the computer that I last had it on with me to University). I would, however, recommend that you visit a site called "JavaBoutique" to learn more about the Java applet and how to use it to perhaps make games, as that's the site I used to help me make this program. They have example code, too, so that may help you greatly.
Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the book my school gave me for the class, since it has been about 2-3 years since I took that class. I do, however, remember using an AP Computer Science study book published by Barron's to study for the exam, so you might want to look into that. For university, I've used "Starting Out with C#" by Chegwidden and Gaddis, so you could look for Java books from them to get help, too.
Where can I research applet stuff? I'm in APCS this year, but we won't get to applets until after the AP test...and thats only if we don't program LEGO robots :) AP Computer is really exciting!
my final project is to create a game and i hope i get the full credit..(I have 74% in the class and the final project is worth 1200 points which hopefully will boost my grade to a B)
this is fuckin badass dude, hey man, i'm also taking an AP computer Science class at my highschool, can and right now we are not even close to what u have created, so can u teach me some stuff.
This is odd, I thought I replied to this message a long time ago...
Anyway, I mainly applied several things I learned about applet programming from a site called Java Boutique, which you could google up. You go under the tutorial section and look for a game development tutorial, which should teach you how to make basic games like pong.
Also, looking up new methods on your respective Java IDE's API helps.
Everything else is pretty much what you learn in class. That's all the help I can give.
Haha you too with Eclipse. AP Java

Look up a site called "JavaBoutique" and you'll find a section on applets. That's the site I used to learn more about this stuff.

Did they teach you this in high school or did you take an extra step and research this by yourself?

A lot of it (mainly the applet stuff) was researched by myself.
