I'm a big advocate of animals rights and I am a supporter of hunting, because unlike most meat that ends up in the stores, these animals are killed quickly, and have spent their entire lives living as they should be, not crammed in pens or cages. As long as you don't enjoy making the animal suffer and give it its proper respect, I don't see anything wrong with being excited about getting your first deer, its a right of passage, like getting your license or something.

Great way to boost your kid's confidence and respect for nature! Hunting lets kids know that meat doesn't just come from the supermarket, an animal died so you could eat it - respect!

I took my 6 year old son hunting this year for the first time and he killed a nice six point...that was better to me then any deer I have ever killed. Great job with your daughter. Congrats and god bless you both.
