I am going through almost the same situation only they dont know what happened she was messing around at the mall with friends the next she went into cardiac arrest and had a seizure her brain was deprived of oxygen and her organs started shutting down. she was on full life support because she had aspirated and her heart wasnt working on its own.
They dont know if she will ever wake up and if she does she will most likely be a vegetable,They tried waking her up but she was seizing too much because her brain is so swollen and damaged they normally give people in her situation 3-4 days but with her age they gave her 6 and today is the sixth day and they still have no idea why a perfectly healthy teenager would go into cardiac arrest.
Her twin sister is one of my best friends and I am terrified it is going to happen to her too because they think it might be genetic. they will be 18 in a few days its so unfair that she may never get to see that day. young lives lost I am really sorry to hear about your friend my condolences.

Thanks everyone for your support. Its about to be 1 year and 6 months that Dan has passed. I still think about him everyday. this sort of reminds me of my friend melissa, shes on my profile, and after her death, my entire life changed. i became more of a depressing, and careful person. im always scared to walk home alone now, and every night i think of innocent people dying for no reason. ever since melissas death, i wasnt afraid of dying either, because one day when i die i beg to see her. almost every night i cry, and im too scared to say this to my parents b/c its too hard =[

im really sorry for your loss. i know what its like to lose someone you love. its not fair when kids and teenagers die because they never get to live their dreams. this girl who went to my school died in december. her name was karen martinez and even though i wasnt friends with her really it was still heartbreaking when she died because I knew her. its really sad because in our yearbook last year she said she didnt know what she wanted to be when she grew up. its sad. really sad.

My friend who was only 12, was ran over by a combine tractor when he leaned against the window ( he was in the tractor)
and the window broke out and he fells into the spikes =_[. his dad could do nothing but lay there next to his son and watch him die.. he died July 3, 2008
