  • What's the piece at 4:30?

  • @RunescapeWideos The finale from 'Abduction from the Seraglio.'

  • During the finale - that, sadly then, young lady in the blue turban. She's adorable. Totally in love with her because of her dancing. Fabulous - someone build me a damn time machine!!!

  • Mozart is soooooo "modest, and absolutly loves constructive criticism!!!

  • I can party to this music!

  • 5:12 5:12 - sorry.

  • @starmanbridges Salieri's reaction to that is so perfect. Like, "Gimme a break"

  • @thesir27 So true- haha. He did not look like a happy patron of the opera!

  • 6:12 really nails Mozart's spirit- perfect-perfect-perfect.

  • Yo, he was the first hater.

  • @rwash1972 lmao

  • I love how his hair shakes it awesome lol

  • What a great film- at so many levels...

  • What is the first part she's singing called?

I have loved this movie since I was 10 years old. Mozart and I are bday twins :D

  • @gypsyeyes008 Before the opera? It was just a vocal warm-up.

  • @PaulGilbertIsGod2 No the first song in the opera.

  • @gypsyeyes008 It comes in the second act of the opera and it's No. 11. The full title of that track is "Martern aller Arten" - "Doch du bist entschlossen." It's usually about 9 minutes long and the familiar part from Amadeus comes in at about a minute until the end. And that's awesome being born on the same day as Mozart! :D

  • @jcvargas85 Thank you!

  • mozart named cavalieri's part after his fiance

  • HAREM IS NOT A BROTHEL YOU FUCKING IDIOT! harem was home of the sultan in ottoman empire

  • @muhammedmuhiddin then why do you think Mozart was acting awkward when he was explaining the set to to the emperor? He said he was not going to show concubines exposing their.... *bahahahahahahaha* (Mozart's bouncy laugh!XD). So it was at least referred to as a brothel.

  • @SilenceTheQuiet but it is not

  • @muhammedmuhiddin hey, I looked it up too! I looked up both, but stuck with brothel, since that was the dumbed-down word used in the movie. But seriously, can you not love this guy's laugh????:) the best laugh ever!!!XD

  • @SilenceTheQuiet :D yea laugh is really the best ever. noone except him can laugh in front of the emperor :D

  • @muhammedmuhiddin ikr? watch Peter Shaffer's Amadeus in 30 seconds! it is awesome!

  • @SilenceTheQuiet watch the 0:20 second's laugh, how the emperor beside him, got scared :D

  • @muhammedmuhiddin hahahahaha like you can barely see him jump! :D

  • @SilenceTheQuiet hahahaha yea i can imagine how the emperor felt when mozart laughed :D jump you m.fkr. emperor jump :D

  • @muhammedmuhiddin The video camera dude should have made it more noticeable! When you pointed that out, i was like wow. hahahahaha! he is like the best mozart actor ever! (not that there's a lot of those!XD) i wonder if mozart really laughed something like that...

  • @SilenceTheQuiet well i hope that he was used to laugh like that :D because it is really suitable on him :D if he wasnt, it doesnt matter because for me i mean in my mind he was laughing like on movie :D well actually i am a musician and this movie was really important when i began to play the guitar first time. because when i watched the movie i really defined how my life style had to be :) i mean mozart's doesnt care about anything so i thought it would be really nice to live like that :D

  • @muhammedmuhiddin It does suit him very well! It is expressive! And i'm a musician too. piano and violin (whoo). And i actually like watching people in this time period... well, just do stuff! I find it interesting. I get why they did stuff like that. my fam is all like, "why are they doing this? what in god's name are they wearing? what's wrong with their voices?"hahahahaha lol.

  • The Aria is "Martern aller Arten" From the Opera 'Die Entfuhrung aus dem serail', or 'Abduction from Seraglio.' I'm no opera buff, but wikipedia and spotify helped me figure it out! :)

  • Mozart is cute xDDD

  • 5:12 Only real men conduct like this.

  • "showing off like the greedy songbird that she was" rotfl! this movie is brilliant.

  • Comment removed

  • absolutely in love with Mozart's expression at 2:53 .

  • love mozart s facial expressions on stage with constanze and 'the greedy song bird'

  • Why is the aria in English and not in German? :(

  • Too many notes. Just cut a few and it will be perfect? Funny anyway.

  • i love 07:41.

For once, if it wasn't for his mother in law, Mozart would be so fucked.

  • 5:13 rock star!

  • thank u so much, big hugs :*

  • Well...there it is.

  • what is the name of it's opera ? :D

  • @karyplas

it is called die entführung aus dem serail in german or Abduction from the Seraglio in english :D

  • One of my favourite scenes in the movie :D Mozart = Genius!

  • "Too many notes"... HOW ABSURD!!

  • ¿Esta cantada en inglés la obra? ¿Por qué....?

  • fuck i wish i had a voice like her

  • Comment to the "Die Enfuhrung Aus Dem Serail "

It has to be "Die Entführung aus dem Serail" :D

  • News travels fast in Vienna...

  • Least of all...The Creature!

  • @Empirical1980 The creature had had my darling girl!

  • when the final chorus starts at around 4:20 the dancer at the front is so off and he stays off!!!!!!!!!

  • whats the name of the opera about 4:20-5:30??? Please :))))))

  • @xaKristyy Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Great opera!

  • 2:23 - here in this part it is very easy to see - how do you sigh - how much is in love with her :-) In that part is Salieri very cute :-) Anyway, that movie is epic ( from our dear producer )! I love it! Mozart was genial. And solo, who sings Catarina, is beautiful. I don´t listen this music, but.. it´s just amazing. :-)

  • 3:10-3:13 Those 3 shots of her are like amazing! Almost wood bearing

  • It's next to Jaws and Sweeney Todd, the dark knight and titanic, AWESOME MOVIE! A FAVORITE!

  • Catarina's reaction at 1:43 was priceless.

  • "At that moment I knew, he'd had her, the creature had had my darling girl.."

"That little creature.." - I love it!

  • @starmanbridges But which scene/aria is this particular one with the 10 minutes of ghastly scales? To paraphrase, that is, "whizzing up & down like fireworks" was once my specialty...AFTER I refused to any longer be a "trained monkey" taken about to do tricks in composition & playing back songs by ear...how tiresome....but dying @ 35? I've passed that now & don't want my comps to die with me.....even if Salieri was never out to get anyone (but the soprano here..LOL)

  • @starmanbridges What did he mean by that? I always thought that it meant Mozart and Caterina had sex but I am not sure lol

  • @leedimond789 That's correct... the "creature" had sex with her- hahaha funny!

  • @starmanbridges When I first saw the movie I was wondering why she got so mad when she found out he was engaged and why he was giggling at her hahaha. I love this movie I just watched it last night I might watch it again :)

  • @leedimond789 Sure, can you imagine what Mozart said to her, or maybe promised? Haha, a lot of sweet nothings and to bed they went! And I'm sure least of all an engagement to another woman. (haha- such a creature)

5:13 is my favorite moment in this clip. It really captures Mozart's unyielding talent in his field, and performed in such a fluid 'second nature' way... I'm sure you'll be watching again... it's one of those films that keep drawing you in, even if you do know what's to come.

  • I love his laughh :)

  • 7:22 - textbook yesman

  • what song is that exactly that Cavalieri sings? I really like it!

  • @MMMphood You probably found it by yourself by now, but it's "Martern Aller Arten", from Entfuhrung aus dem Serail (Abduction from the Seraglio). You can watch a very nice version here:

    watch?v=wHq7anu_f34

  • thank you very much!

  • She sings solo in "Marten Aller Arten".

  • Que musica maravilhosa. Obrigado.

  • Hahaha, the singer's name is Catarina, just like mine :). This is my all-time favourite movie!!!

  • Hhahahahahaha, as if Emperor Joseph II understand something about music... even a opera, the most difficult thing in music to compose.

  • to quote Joseph he actually said to Wolfgang 'very many notes' but this scene is quite accurate for the most part. This movie catpures the Italians in Vienna despised Wolfgang and tried everything they could to thwart his music. The Marriage of Figaro for example, the singers were 'instructed' by Rosenburg(glasses) to sing flat and flub lines, to which Joseph told Rosenburg 'Go and tell those singers that they stop their treachery instantly and sing the opera as they should!'

  • 2:01 lol..

  • akzeptables vid ;) HeisseZone . com ist auch akzeptabel wen man von dem nerd foto absieht

  • Oh my god, Constanze's mother is soooo.... just oh my god. Embarrassing scene when the emperor Joseph II criticises Mozart and they turn up.

  • I second that!

  • Why is there a discussion about the freemasons? Go and discuss the abduction from the seraglio or mozart's and salieri's contacts and fights or whatever, but just stay to the music and the film, the stuff that this video is about...

  • Because Mozart was a freemanson and his opera "The Magic Flute"is about freemasonary

  • I did know about Mozart and his freemason friends, but I didn't know that "Die Zauberflöte" is about freemasonary! Why is that? Can you tell me any connections where there are hints about freemasons?

  • i'm soooo agree with you!

  • Very smart people like Mozart were seldom understood.

  • My family are also freemasons. In fact my dad, bros, uncles and so are wearing the freemason ring. I doubt any of my family members would join any "cult" . They joined because of tradition and beliving they would achieve something good. Like Mozart did.

  • Comment removed

  • on the contrary -- mozart made the aria more florid than necessary to accommodate cavalieri's "flexible throat"

  • finaldestiny17, i see you haven't got yours

  • i meant the guys talking about the cult, excuse me

  • It's not a cult. It's at best a boys-club. They put their finest pinguin outfit on and drink some cognac. Play with swords , what do I know. Trying to turn it into something "occult" shows ignorance.

But yes. Lets hear more Mozart. Also a great freemason.

  • freemasons come from all walks of life so please stop thinking it is just for the rich after all their are butlers that are freemasons so i am told. . . . how is your mother

  • Peut on trouver le nom exacte de la soprano qui chante (pas l'actrice) et me dire SVP si l'on peut trouver cette bande son quelque part .

    Mille mercis

    André

  • Je crois elle s'appele Suzanne Murphy.

  • what a epic movie!

  • it was the quick intercutting between mozart and cavalieri at 3:10 that i KNEW this was my favorite movie of all time!!!! and it still is!!!

  • this is the best movie ever!

  • What is the name of the Soprano aria at 2:30?

and what is the name of the piece at 4:20?

    are the same thing?

please let me know im dying to know

  • The bit at 420 is from the finale of the opera.

Not sure about the aria. They're not from the same section though, obviously, they are from the same work.

  • i dont know the soprano's name but the piece is the final chorus from the opera "Die Entführung aus dem Serail"

The soprano aria and this chorus is by the same opera.

    Enjoy :D

  • the soprano aria is 'Martern aller Arten" in german. There's an italian version called 'Tutte le torture'.

  • Lol 8:15

  • favorite part of the movie :)

  • my favourite part !!! i wish i could see the whole opera

  • "only talent interests a woman of taste"

  • I love Mozart's like little smiling thing at 2:54 - 2:56 ! it's so cute! i love this movie, wonderful acting! ^^

  • I love this movie!

  • Love that laugh. God Bless Mozart soul.

  • Mozart doesn't believe in God....he was a Free Mason. =) but yes, he was very talented.

  • who the hell told you that free masons don't believe in god?

  • history books. Look it up my friend =)

  • well, all wrong... i can tell you so far. Have you tried talking to a real free-mason instead of reading about them?

  • no I have not. Sorry but I don't converse with occult followers. =)

  • haha... that's why you think they are ''occult followers''...

  • I simply do my research, assemble my data and come up with a conclusion. Freemasons are occult followers. Why don't you do some research and come up with your own conclusions instead of "talking" to them? Remember, all that's important is the truth, nothing more. But, I still LOVE Mozart!! =D

  • well... your argument makes no sense at all... and i can't help talking to Free-Masons, i find myself really close to one. Just so you know, i wasn't accepted in the community because i'm an atheist. One of the basic things of Masonry is the belief in God and his wisdom. So i suggest you redo your research, if truth is indeed within your interests. Best wishes.

  • I have my friend, and my conclusion remains the same. Best wishes to you as well. One thing we both can agree on is our love for Mozart's music! =)

  • Aguy you have no idea what yure talking about. you say " Freemasons are occult followers". All men in my family are freemasons. Not one is "occult follower". Do not speak of things you know nothing about. You do research? Please do some more as clearly you have no clue.

  • Adam Weishaupt created Freemasonry out of lies and by the distorting the truth. you say your family are freemasons, perhaps it is you that should research your religion before lecturing me. Freemasons worship Satan and distorts the truth about the word of God =)

  • To worship satan you actually have to belive in that crap. The reason freemasons is a closed secret organization is because, and only because, new members are not to know what the higher grades are about. I'm sure youre into "conspiracy-theory" on all levels, but maybe a tiny part of your brain can grasp that very few things in life has a "deep occult answer".

  • like i said, I've done my research and came down to the conclusion that Freemasons are a cult. To each his own, have a great day one thing we can agree on, is that we both love Mozart! =)

  • 865666tiscernabog, the mason are a bad outfit full of dumb anal fools perhaps once they were a worthwhile outfit but not now hienrich meimler whop scotland yard considers the worse mass murderer of all time was a mason

  • @AGuyWhoPunkUMama Mozart most certainly believed in God. Even after he became a freemason he wrote constantly about his hope and trust in God in his letters to his father Leopold. He considered himself a Catholic still after he became a freemason; many Catholics don't know however that they are automatically excommunicated if they become a freemason because their teachings are very opposed to the Catholic Church.

  • I love his hair! ö

  • This is what´s written in the Screenplay: CAVALIERI (Konstanze): Honor be your reward! But you are determined, But you are determined, Calmly, with no ferment, Welcome - every pain and woe. Bind me then - compel me! Bind me then - compel me! Hurt me. Break me! Kill me! At last I shall be freed by death!
  • the movie script says: Ò Since you are determined,

    Since you are determined,

    Calmly, with no ferment,

Welcome - every pain and woe.

Bind me then - compel me!

Bind me then - compel me!

Hurt me. Break me! Kill me!

At last I shall be freed by death!

  • well... that´s almost what I said!!!

I just wrote "but" instead of "since"... cause to me it sounds more like she´s sinning "But you are determined"... but anyways, it´s almost the same.

  • The whole film is fabulous, but people forget what a killer job Jeffery Jones did as the Emporer

  • Hell yeah! The Emporer is my favorite character. "Uh-huh."

  • He reminds me of Georg (Christopher Plummer) in the "The Sound of Music".

  • I want the lyrics for this Turkish finale piece. Anyone has them?

  • Pasha Selim

    May he live Forever

    Honor to his regal name

    May his noble brow emblazon

    Glory, fortune, joy, and fame

    Pasha Selim live forever

    Honor to his regal name

    May his noble brow emblazon

    Glory, fortune, joy, and fame

    etc...

  • Many thanks.. Much appreciated!

  • Could anyone please let me know the name of these tracks.. originally composed by mozart.. the one in the video above, and the first titles track (which was taken by Titan Watches in India).. if someone could mane all the tracks in the entire movie, i'd be really glad..

  • 02:58

  • Mozart loves Turkish people:)

  • Too much spice... Too many notes!

  • too many old men in glasses

  • a perfect movie, with just the right amount of words.

  • @fliegeroh The right amount of words, too many notes

    (Just kidding)

  • i think from 2 45 to 3 50 is the best part. what is she saying in 3: 10 to 3 15 sounds liek touch me break me kill me but i know its a different language but what would that part of the opera be called the song and what does she say ??

  • She is actually singing in English ;) Not in the original German.

Hmm what is she saying? Let's use our ears

    though you are determined...

But at last I shall be freed by death

Salieri talks during the other word

  • @sep13 She´s singing: ...Honor be your reward Oh, you are determined, oh, you are determined, Calmly, with no ferment, Welcome - every pain and woe. Bind me then - compel me! Bind me then - compel me! Hurt me. Break me! Kill me! At last I shall be freed by death! Be freed at last by death! Be freed at last by death! At last I shall be freed By! Death!

  • The creature had my little girl...disdain?

  • this one made history

  • i love this part!!!

  • Doajenstvo vrhunsko!

  • This scene is absolute perfection. Konstanze (Murphy) is absolutely amazing! I wish I could hear the full aria. Gotta love Tom Hulce's Mozart. He is better than the conductor of the orchestra I'm in!

  • someone should make a gif of 5:13

  • Why don't you?
