I hope you realise that this is tracing the ip of a website, not a person, very few people host websites off their computers so your just getting the ip of some random server or for most people who make websites (like your friends) would be using wordpress or enjin or something like that... which is all on servers owned by Wordpress / enjin etc.

@PSNpod Yes it is. You use the full e-mail header and it will run a trace and give you the state/city of the IP address in the e-mail. Some times you can even get a goggle image of the location and it will pin point it to a house. But it does not give you a address I'm sure if you signed up for a paying e-mail program you could get the address. But a good free site is IP-adress DOTcom you can run IP look ups and e-mail traces amoung other things.
