no thats just one of the control schemes that use buttons,theres like 3 more that involves swinging,weaving, etc.

Actually this is one of the modes available to play where you aim with the remote and stuff. AQ said another mode is available where you use the nunchuck and remote much in the same style as the wii sports boxing.

Sorry Wii is not region free at all. There was a rumor that Wii was region free ( at least first party games) but it turned out to be a bogus. I was disappointed as well.
