@DispencahereBOINK I was at that race(at St-Julie,QC) as a spectator standing almost right behind the rider on the Kawasaki that didn't go, I'm pretty sure it was Evan Lauthridge, his bike had totally crapped out but the official holding the 30second board didn't see him waving his arms like crazy and they started without him before his mechanic could get his backup bike.

Jeez, Wtf no one these days stops to help someone out? WTF its not all about winning, I ride to enjoy myself and to feel a thrill. When someones in agony after a crash, people just ride past, Give a good look and continue. What would YOU want people to do if you crashed?

@zXParadyceXz I've seen this comment a few times already and I agree when riding with buddies or maybe in amateur racing you should always stop to help a fallen rider, but in professional racing of any sort you will never ever see this unless the situation is critical, and even then there are normally designated track workers to do this. The one main thing to do when a rider is down is avoid hitting them, but if a riders life was in jeaopardy I don't think anyone would just ride past and watch.

@tostoli I agree. If you're out riding with mates and someone throws it down you help them back up. But if you're racing and someone else crashes that's their bad luck. Crashing is part of racing, if you're good enough to go that fast and stay on and someone else isn't why should that affect you? It's rare that someone hurts themselves badly anyway, I've crashed enough times to know that on dirt it takes a fair bit to break a bone. Plus as tostoli said, there's track workers there for jumping in

@zXParadyceXz well.. when youre on the track its aint a team sport.. as you say its all about winning, but when you crash its never ( almsot never ) a rider from the track that helps you out, but there are always ppls next to the track that helps you so.. but this aint a team sport if you aint riding with ur team or friends

@zXParadyceXz when your racing, its very dangerous to stop and help someone, ive seen my friends crash very hard infront of me, but if i stop, i know i will get hit (because there are usually 20-30 people after my place behind me), the marshalls will get there pretty quick anyway :)

@RichardAcer No. first of all you shift down to first or a low enogh gear fr you then when you come out of a corner you shift up. and when you go off a jump it depends what is ahead of you if its a turn shift down if it is another jump stay in same gear or shift up and smame goes to a flat

@RichardAcer Basically just keep the revs up.. if it rev's are to low going into a corner or out of one, shift down a gear then hammer on it. When you jump, and say your in 3rd, normally you stay in 3rd when you land unless theres a corner right after, then you shift down right after you land... But the key here is rev's.. keep them up.
