I use the porter cable 7800 with Joest discs. I'm using 120 grit for rough sand, and 220 grit for finish. I find that I still need to run my pole sander afterwards though just to get rid of the scratches. I have mixed feelings about this system. I'm trying to use it for finish sanding, but I feel like this system can't give me what I want. I hope someone can give me a few pointers on what they do to reduce swirl marks. Maybe switching to an all purpose finishing compound would help?
You show a basic sand pole pad/sander. Would that be useful for the Hyde Dust Free vacuum sander? Or do you also make a system pole like that? slterry 'at' uncc 'dot' edu. Thank you.
Yes, It would work great with the Hyde Dust-free sander. The system is designed to fit any pole sander in the market and work exceptionally well. Please contact me at 248 765 6345 and I will get you in touch with a distributor near you for a free sample. I guarantee you will say that this is the best abrasive you have ever used!!!
Did you ever test mty product? The test demonstrates a close up view of finish of Joest compared to a leading competitors disc. We place a black tarp on the floor to show the difference between sanding dust using conventional discs and ours. I will be happy to send you a free sample to prove my superiority. Please call.
I had a porter cable and the head got loose after a short time. It made alot of swirl marks when using a fresh sanding disc. Especially when you start and stop. It was heavy too after using all day. Your disc looks like a better product.
MrJettak2, your opinion is very accurate. The Joest disc will provide a swirl/scratch free finish. The main reason a disc creates scratches on a wall is due to the fact that it loads. Due to the perforations and special backing, this disc will never load (any grit). Please contact us at 1800-784-6572 for samples (new number).

where's can't see the shape of the other machine...shame on you...
This will probably need to be approved to show up i guess..

I do not understand your comment. What shape? This is the standard Porter Cable sander in 9". There is no other machine on the market other than 9"

i don't understand myself to tell you the truth...
i meant that when comparing your product to the "regular no name" machine there's a black screen... so we can't see what it looks like...
did that on purpose?...
