  • Have fun deleting all those pictures:L

  • Two Cameras in front of each other... you making them JACKASS.. :D

  • If my math is right, and of course it is, at 6.5 FPS you could shoot like that for about 4 hours and 15 minutes before you reach the ultimate 100,000 shutter life limit. That's not that long if you think about it.

  • Can you turn off the sound? People would go nuts :P

  • @thehomefront from reading you comments on this page, i have concluded that you are in fact a retard. Usually retards do not own photography companies. and the owner of a photography company would not explode in anger from a comment on youtube. Therefore, you are a lying retard

  • japan toshi kunhaki kid camera, anyways its usefull camera u can use it as weapon

  • Good luck in removing all those shots

  • which card do you use ?

  • 99 shots in 20 some seconds? Not bad..

  • ohh its realy fast I need that !

  • all your doing is showing off how good your camera is and making poor people feel sad for not being able to offord one, only a horrible person would do this.

  • @thehomefront or he is showing vids of how useful the camera is to an action sports photographer so they can decide whether they want to buy one or not. it certainly helped me. and if your poor, then get a job

  • @samwatkins111 i'm not poor ,infact i have lots of money and if your wife saw me i'm sure she would dream about while having sex with you. i own a company called " photo for ever" its been going 12 years and got bigger every year, i now employ 8 photograthers. i'm 36 and semi retired, i also play golf 3 times a week. hows your life going?

  • @thehomefront Dude ahahahah calm down!! xD You ripped the guy's guts off!!

  • @grabedigger i've just about calm down thanks, i think i need to do some meditation.

  • @thehomefront Go and trey Reiki! It's pretty good! I do it and i find it great!

  • @grabedigger reiki! whats that, never heard of it,but if its going to make me feel better in myself i'll give it a go.

  • @thehomefront Search for it on wikipedia, it's an old japanese healing art, and meditation. And some ONG acredited it as a true therapy. Go and have a look.

  • @thehomefront im in school... looser

  • I think ur photography camera has more fps then your video camera xD

  • @tommybritain LMAO

  • hello! i have an 40 d but i cant see the green information in the viewfinder.

    haow to configure/?

  • just midlle press the shutter button or the af-on button

  • does someone know a good compacrflash card for this camera, i own the 40d, but altready after 10 shots is slows down! I use a

    sandisk extreme III 2GB card.

    please some advise!

  • disable high ISO noise reduction than u get 16 shots in RAW and over 70 in jpeg

  • my reply was for

    joeperrrr

for u gigaboxa...im not 100% shure but i think u cant disable green screen in viewfinder so i think yours is broken

  • woooohhhh thank you very very much, couldnt figour that out by myself!

  • @joeperrrr mine would slow down after 6 shots (shooting in jpeg regardless of card type) until I got the battery grip. Not sure why it's different for everyone...

  • - @joeperrrr -

I have never had problems with the Sandisk Extreme III cards. I have a 1, 2 and 4 gig CF.

Compact Flash cards are much faster than any other card on the market. You will not find a professional or many prosumer cameras with SD slots.

If you're capturing RAW only then that might explain the write delays.

  • @pmgodfrey

    You're right.

but the new Canon EOS 60D has a SD slot.

  • sounds like a ducati. the 50d also.

  • how much are these cameras roughly ?

  • I ordered a refurb one from B&H for $699.

  • and how much are the lenses that you can add to them?

  • It depends on what kind of lens you want. If you're after a cheap lens with decent quality you can't go wrong with the EF 50mm f/1.8. There are literally hundreds of Canon lenses to choose from and many more from Tamron, Sigma, etc

  • cool thanks

  • ~100-125000$

the one on its is a few hundred $

  • 700-900 GBP pre-own on ebay

  • I counted 86 shots

  • can this be done with a Canon S5 IS? ive been trying but it doesn't go nearly as fast as this

  • Is it supposed to go as fast, also I learned from another video that having a professional memory card will make a difference. Non-pro card doesn't accept data as fast as it needs to.

  • Unfortunately not, you'll need a dslr.

  • Pretty impressive!

  • will some one plz tell me if this camera takes batterys! ill sub to the firt person from both of my accounts

  • The Canon EOS 40D is powered by the same BP-511A Lithium Ion pack as its predecessor and the EOS 5D.

  • wat does that mean

  • what settiings did the guy in the vid have to shoot like that cause thats what i have been trying to figure out

  • I bought the 40D right when it came out and I can say first hand that it's an excellent camera! I recently bought the 5D MKII, but will never part with the 40D, and I use both camera's for different things.

  • you are judging the whole canon line on one rare problem that happened to you. just move on...

  • Comment removed

  • he's shooting a wedding with only one camera??/

  • u r bullshit wont hury canon

u camera must be a bad apple thts all

i still feel sorry fr u

but still canon is best i wud say

  • I have this camera and love it. I think it is reasonably priced for what you get out of it.

  • is that in jpeg or raw?

  • jpeg! in raw you get (only) 17 shots at ones.

  • Uhhh, I just went in my pants. I love the sound of that shutter speed. I want that camera.

  • Comment removed

  • what lens are you using on this video?

  • Look on his eyes when he are shooting)))LOL)))

  • can you do the same on a nikon d40???

  • nope d40 = 2.5fps 40d = 6.5

  • thanks

  • is it worth paying extra for the 50d??? anyone??

  • if u have 40d already don't upgrade, otherwise get the 50D, better processor. Better screen.

  • slower fps on the 50d though

  • hmmm ok well i dont have the 40d, so ur probably right

  • If money is an issue, stick with 40d...from everything I have researched the 50d isn't significantly better, just MINOR improvement for more money. There is also the nikon D90.

  • no its not

  • hi, i have a nikon d60...you think i should buy a 40d or a 50d....what different?

  • Not much diff, more mp on 50D, face detection etc., few nice stuff but 40D also has nice stuff and better noise handling. For the price 40D is better overall 50D is better :)

  • Its faster with a 580ex ii in the hot shoe.

  • Yes. With the Compact Battery Pack CP-E4 will be much better for flash charge.

  • I am a huge photo nut look at my name, but i think this video is pretty dumb

  • is it worth buying this cam? cauz i'm thinking about it...

  • 93 shots =]

  • where you shooting in RAW or JPEG?

  • JPEG

  • @johnkollor JPEG, obviously (or w/o card). Raw shooting fills the buffer with only six to seven images.

  • @dfgdfghgfhrthrh Actually yes i must agree with you, Just got mine out and tested it there, I got a 5 second burst at 1/8000 before it started to slow shooting RAW without chip. I left that comment before i owned the camera just so you know

  • What a waste of actuations. He uses it like he's got all the repair money he needs in the world. i bet that camera wouldn't last him a year if he was lucky treating it like that.

  • what, you think a company like canon wouldn't take precautions when manufacturing a product that's MEANT TO DO THIS!!!? DUMBASS!!!

  • Most dslrs have a life of around 100.000 shots.

  • wrong

  • I have a friend, who has a 1D Mk2, has made already more than 200,000 shots todate. And his camera is still doing good.

  • How is it wrong? I said most, and it is a FACT. Most dslr's shutters have a life expectancy of 100000 shots. Like I said, most. There are exceptions by camera, model and brand.

  • ...and after all that scratch-scrath-scrath goes brooommmm, and it rides away :D

  • Great one ;)

  • from what i've heard, you can't get 6.5fps unless you are shooting outdoors and have the shutter set at at least 1/2000. also, using iso reduction will slow down the frame rate and the buffer amount.

  • I use the Sandisk Extreme III 4Gb, with my 40D And have the same performance.

  • what CF card you used in your 40d?

  • Sounds like a full automatic gun. Without the bang. :P

  • why do you answer if you think this way???

  • 6,5 fps.

  • why would you ever waste your actuation like that

  • what's it matter?

  • Yeah, I mean totally! He only has about 95,800 left! He should be saving them :(

  • soo what happens after 95,800 then

  • is that about max pictures with a camera nowadays?

  • @stokmarknes. you can get 10fps on higher end cameras, those are the professional models. this one is just a semi pro.

  • I meant max capasity. not max fps.

  • no, mine gets 15.2 fps

  • wich compact flash r u using?

  • it's a compact flash, it comes built in!

  • Compact flash is the memory card. I think he's asking what write speed the card is.

    Not the flash.

  • when you looked into the camera in your video.. what you where looking for?! lol :)

  • I think in the viewfinder it says how many shots you have left in the burst.

  • where do you activate the burst? Just bought the EOS 40D

  • I don't have the camera but if you hold one of the buttons on the top, i think drive, and switch with on the of wheels to HI, you'll get it.

  • I figured it out after a bunch of youtube vids, thanks though:D:D

  • Get a Life Get a 5D and you work the camera not let it work it's self!!

  • lol thats not exactly a cheap option and it's also not going to help anyone take better photos if they dont know how to use manual modes properly.

  • The art of good photography is learning how a camera works in manual and helps you understand the basics, however they are good point and shoot cameras for people starting out.

  • I agree, I use a 30D myself always in manual mode. I'd hate to be stuck with auto as I would feel so limited.

  • I agree but then im used to manual shooting a M3 half the time.... also going meterless so i normally shoot in apeture priority when im on my D300 caus its like a holiday haha. ive allways wanted a 30d i dont know why i prefere it over the 40d

    Peace

    Brian

  • You forgot to mention its twice the price too.

  • This is 6.5 fps, 10 times would be 65 fps. The D3 only does 11 FPS

  • and 5 times the money

  • 100000 is just a number... camera will work twice of that easily!

  • and do you realize how much 100000 is???

  • lensesnmore

  • why didn't you show the product in a "stop motion" clip? why didnt you put the pictures together?

  • It sounds like film tape, awesome!

  • I have question. I just got a 40D, i used the drive mode, but it can only last for less than 2 seconds. Even when the image quality is set to the lowest. What's weong with my camera? or is it the CF that's the problem?

  • i have tested the 40D, incredible camera! the shutter sound isn't lowd at all, of course much more quieter than in videos. the only little minus of this camera is the lcd resolution, but not a problem at all.

  • omg hard rapid fire

  • 100.000 lifespan - 100 useless shots

  • Love this camera. The only down side to the high speed is when you get back from the race track, you have a million photos to sift through ;D

  • i couldn't imagine how tedious that must be.

  • I love this camera too, my perfect camera would be a nikon body with canon photos, i love my canon IQ but i just bought a d300 over this because it feels better in my hand.

Nikon users will try to deny it but canon are still so much sharper than nikon, but then thats nothing a little editing cant fix.

    Peace

    Brian

  • start shooting in RAW mate,

even xxD canon series like to

    sharpen-(over)saturate your snaps ;)

    (that's what pentaxian wrote)

  • hahaha i know canon add more sharpening in camera and i do allways shoot in raw even though on the d300. personally i find the colour in canon less sarurated and cooler than the warmer and saturated nikon tones but i guess thats just me.

I did a test with both cameras using unsharpen masks in photoshop and i can tell you that the canon made the texture on skin look so 3d it was scary, while the nikon just looked decent. The nikkor lens was sharper btw 5omm 1.8 at f4,6 & 8.

    Just a thought

  • love it!

  • a good compact flash card for this camera is the. A data turbo 266x speed flash card 4gb. around $40.00 at new egg. they also have a 8gb for around $40.00 also that is a good choice!

  • wow

  • do you have any lens recomendations for this camera?

  • I have the Canon 50mm 1.4. It is an awesome lens. You can get the 1.8 for much less, but the quality of the lens body suffers. I am saving up for the 70-200 2.8. That is on my wish list!

  • i just bought the 28-135 is. and the 70-200mm l series f/4 lens. i also own 50mm 1.8 lens and youre right its a nice lens for the money.

  • I have been using the Sigma DC 18-50mm 1:2.8 EX Macro Lense with mine. Awesome lense, large opening and very bright.

  • that is absolutely incredible

  • GOOD

  • what kind of tripod are you using?

  • how is the quality of the pictures?

  • really good, don't worry about this :)

  • i saw it yesterday in real life and it was much slower

the people at the camera store said it was on high speed too

wat exact setting did u put it on?

    and was it on RAW?

  • There are two continuous shooting modes on the 40D. One is high speed, i.e. 6,5 fps, the other one is low speed, i.e. 3 fps.

  • you also could have been holding down the AF button, which may have slowed it a little.

  • the high speed continuous mode. is for outdoor action sports shooting with no flash.

  • it has to be in the action mode without a flash! you need the right amount of light plus the battery should be in a good state of charge! the lens can make a differance also! its a very fast camera in all modes! twice as fast as my rebel xt. i just received my 40d in the mail today. so far i like it.

  • how is the quality of the pictures?

  • good demo, you showed alot of functions, shooting while writing and with flash. thanks

  • great camera, thanks for the demo

  • lovely sound and that speed is pretty amazing .. wish i could afford it :/
