If my math is right, and of course it is, at 6.5 FPS you could shoot like that for about 4 hours and 15 minutes before you reach the ultimate 100,000 shutter life limit. That's not that long if you think about it.
@thehomefront from reading you comments on this page, i have concluded that you are in fact a retard. Usually retards do not own photography companies. and the owner of a photography company would not explode in anger from a comment on youtube. Therefore, you are a lying retard
all your doing is showing off how good your camera is and making poor people feel sad for not being able to offord one, only a horrible person would do this.
@thehomefront or he is showing vids of how useful the camera is to an action sports photographer so they can decide whether they want to buy one or not. it certainly helped me. and if your poor, then get a job
@samwatkins111 i'm not poor ,infact i have lots of money and if your wife saw me i'm sure she would dream about while having sex with you. i own a company called " photo for ever" its been going 12 years and got bigger every year, i now employ 8 photograthers. i'm 36 and semi retired, i also play golf 3 times a week. hows your life going?
@thehomefront Search for it on wikipedia, it's an old japanese healing art, and meditation. And some ONG acredited it as a true therapy. Go and have a look.
@joeperrrr mine would slow down after 6 shots (shooting in jpeg regardless of card type) until I got the battery grip. Not sure why it's different for everyone...
It depends on what kind of lens you want. If you're after a cheap lens with decent quality you can't go wrong with the EF 50mm f/1.8. There are literally hundreds of Canon lenses to choose from and many more from Tamron, Sigma, etc
Is it supposed to go as fast, also I learned from another video that having a professional memory card will make a difference. Non-pro card doesn't accept data as fast as it needs to.
I bought the 40D right when it came out and I can say first hand that it's an excellent camera! I recently bought the 5D MKII, but will never part with the 40D, and I use both camera's for different things.
If money is an issue, stick with 40d...from everything I have researched the 50d isn't significantly better, just MINOR improvement for more money. There is also the nikon D90.
Not much diff, more mp on 50D, face detection etc., few nice stuff but 40D also has nice stuff and better noise handling. For the price 40D is better overall 50D is better :)
@dfgdfghgfhrthrh Actually yes i must agree with you, Just got mine out and tested it there, I got a 5 second burst at 1/8000 before it started to slow shooting RAW without chip. I left that comment before i owned the camera just so you know
What a waste of actuations. He uses it like he's got all the repair money he needs in the world. i bet that camera wouldn't last him a year if he was lucky treating it like that.
How is it wrong? I said most, and it is a FACT. Most dslr's shutters have a life expectancy of 100000 shots. Like I said, most. There are exceptions by camera, model and brand.
from what i've heard, you can't get 6.5fps unless you are shooting outdoors and have the shutter set at at least 1/2000. also, using iso reduction will slow down the frame rate and the buffer amount.

I have never had problems with the Sandisk Extreme III cards. I have a 1, 2 and 4 gig CF.
Compact Flash cards are much faster than any other card on the market. You will not find a professional or many prosumer cameras with SD slots.
If you're capturing RAW only then that might explain the write delays.
