In order to be able to compare the input power to the output power, you will need much more sophisticated measuring devices due to the fact, that the input current (your "amps" drawn by the pulse motor) are pulses drawn from a DC source! Therefore the simple formula "N = U x I" will not work in this case! For example the Duty Cycle of the pulse train has to be considered! See also at Wikipedia under "Power_(physics)"

very good, replace the reed with a coil which will send a pulse to a transistor used as a switch to run the drive coil.the induced voltage in the coil will open the transistor. will operate flawlessly for a long time. the reed switch will eventually begin to stick. with your setup, you can add multiple drive coils...a three or four banger = tork. looks good. marc.

I'm gonna draw a parallell here. Think about, say water instead. Water as in say the water the comes through your faucet. Then Voltage would be the equivalent of the water's preassure. And the amount of water that's slowing would be equal to current(amps). The combination of voltage and current is what's called power, and is measured in watts. You need voltage to make a current flow, but you dont need current for there to be a voltage. I hope this helps.

DC measurements are also deceptive. Most people measure average voltage and average current and assume that's average power. It's not! The real power is always more unless it's perfect DC.
People want to see these types of things power themselves because it would prove it really produces more energy than it uses. In most cases people just don't know how to make proper measurements and are fooled into thinking they are making more enery than they are using.
True that, you need a "true RMS" multimeter, not the standard kinf of multimeter. You can get falsely high readings otherwise if your output is not perfectly sinusoidal, as regular multimeters are no good with anything other than a pure sinewave for AC.
So what at first looks like over-unity may actually be a result of the meter giving false readings.

1) Hook up an oscilloscope already. STOP making assumptions about power. You don't know the pulse widths. If the current pulses are out of phase with your voltage, your power is MUCH less than you think.
2) Take off that stupid battery. If you want to know if you have more power out than you put in, why would you have a power source at all. Connect the output to the input!

to those who say that we can't get out more energy than we put in. this is actually an attempt to access and use the energy stored in magnets in the form of magnetic fields. if a magnet can exert a force, then a magnet can do work. think out of the box.

If you explained the vibration (I never got dung to spin like that...cow patty power?!) and got the input power readings off both SPDT inline V/A readings and AC/DC induction shunts; explained what was what a bit better (the motor's this much, the generator that...); moved from reed switches to hall switches, almost certainly (if only so you can tap into a 10mW PIC controller and regulator for instrumentation); and got an ultracap to stow output and save LEDs, a pretty slick show.
this is not free lunch. this is capitolizing on the energy stored in magnets. the same way we capitolize on energy stored in oil fields. think out of the box.

I figured it all out now,I used 28 GA @ 200 turns ,6 coils all wound clockwise with six magnets on my saw blade,alternating north south for the magnetsI added a full wave bridge rectifier using 4- 1N4001 diodes with 2 smoothing capacitors I used 2 - 35V 47 uf caps I get a steady 15 volts DC
Amen brother. Yes, the 9 coil design is better because I wired it in three phase (star) and I got 50 or so more total turns out of my coils without taking up more room. On my next stator I am going to have 27 coils over lapping so I can complete all three phases within the coil space I have now.

By pulsing the system think of electrons on a string that is traveling at the speed of light. If you put the same wires parallel of continuous current it will travel exponentially the amount of distance.The pulsing STOPS the flow of light speed current even for a nanosecond, the distance it travels is far less.Thus making it more efficient. I didn't pay attention to which way the windings went for true single phase alternator and I am getting HUGE eddy currents I guess there are called. I put a bigger load on it (more than one watt) and it bounces all over the place hehe. "n s n s" like the magnets when wired in series. Trial and error I suppose.

Its possible high voltage spikes can damage a capacitor.. so use a small capacitor to run these high voltage spikes (and hence current spikes) to the system ground. Im not sure what value, an oscilloscope would help determine that, but maby something small like 500 or 1000 pico-fards should short these high frequency signals to ground.
I was thinking of the DC output of the system. A higher voltage capacitor rating is ok like you said, but usually the higher voltage capacitors are not as large a capacitance. Sometimes though a high AC voltage can damage the bridge rectifier diodes. High frequency noise spikes can also case radio interference. Also turning the system on or off can also cause a high voltage spike. Shorting a small amt. of power to ground is bad, but sometimes necessary.
Maby there was a misunderstanding what I said. So here is an update: The large capacitor with a volate rating greater than the DC supply being created will be needed, and the larger its capacitance the better. Sometimes you must use a rating higher than is needed since the speed of the generater may increase (as in a windmill) and the output voltage will increase. The small (the smaller the better) capacitor(s) are needed also if you wish to short high spikes to ground.

I am going to make another video putting a 1, 4, and 10 watt load on it . I have to move my reed switch because the timing is being affected when I move the stator next to the rotor. TOO much magnetic fields going on I guess.

You can step up from 12v to 16v with a simple transformer. Without knowing the output amps/watts you can't even know if your generating over unity.

If you want to PROVE it, run it on the bench for a month while running a TV or Toaster oven, or refrigerator with it.....without any other connection to a SOURCE of energy, like the wall socket!!!
And don't tell me that after 3 days "It was producing like...energy, and a transistor must have blown out... or my reed switch stuck, and the mechanism stopped".... This JUST VIOLATES THE LAWS OF CONSERVATION OF MASS AND ENERGY!!!! Do the real research !!!!

very good, replace the reed with a coil which will send a pulse to a transistor used as a switch to run the drive coil.the induced voltage in the coil will open the transistor. will operate flawlessly for a long time. the reed switch will eventually begin to stick. with your setup, you can add multiple drive coils...a three or four banger = tork. looks good. marc.

I'm gonna draw a parallell here. Think about, say water instead. Water as in say the water the comes through your faucet. Then Voltage would be the equivalent of the water's preassure. And the amount of water that's slowing would be equal to current(amps). The combination of voltage and current is what's called power, and is measured in watts. You need voltage to make a current flow, but you dont need current for there to be a voltage. I hope this helps.

DC measurements are also deceptive. Most people measure average voltage and average current and assume that's average power. It's not! The real power is always more unless it's perfect DC.

True that, you need a "true RMS" multimeter, not the standard kinf of multimeter. You can get falsely high readings otherwise if your output is not perfectly sinusoidal, as regular multimeters are no good with anything other than a pure sinewave for AC.
So what at first looks like over-unity may actually be a result of the meter giving false readings.

1) Hook up an oscilloscope already. STOP making assumptions about power. You don't know the pulse widths. If the current pulses are out of phase with your voltage, your power is MUCH less than you think.
2) Take off that stupid battery. If you want to know if you have more power out than you put in, why would you have a power source at all. Connect the output to the input!
No garage tinkering, bedini follower ever does these simple things. Why? cause it would show how little you know!

It is lovely! If you explained the vibration (I never got dung to spin like that...cow patty power?!) and got the input power readings off both SPDT inline V/A readings and AC/DC induction shunts; explained what was what a bit better (the motor's this much, the generator that...); moved from reed switches to hall switches, almost certainly (if only so you can tap into a 10mW PIC controller and regulator for instrumentation); and got an ultracap to stow output and save LEDs, a pretty slick show.

I figured it all out now,I used 28 GA @ 200 turns ,6 coils all wound clockwise with six magnets on my saw blade,alternating north south for the magnetsI added a full wave bridge rectifier using 4- 1N4001 diodes with 2 smoothing capacitors I used 2 - 35V 47 uf caps I get a steady 15 volts DC

Amen brother. Yes, the 9 coil design is better because I wired it in three phase (star) and I got 50 or so more total turns out of my coils without taking up more room. On my next stator I am going to have 27 coils over lapping so I can complete all three phases within the coil space I have now.

By pulsing the system think of electrons on a string that is traveling at the speed of light. If you put the same wires parallel of continuous current it will travel exponentially the amount of distance.The pulsing STOPS the flow of light speed current even for a nanosecond, the distance it travels is far less.Thus making it more efficient. Understand the theory?

You don't provide it with any extra power, you just give it the magnets and a battery which it can recharge for as long as you like and it give of a lot of torque.
And i don't think that the magnets only will last for as short as 25+- years, atleast i thought that normal magnets could have a very long lifespan.

I didn't pay attention to which way the windings went for true single phase alternator and I am getting HUGE eddy currents I guess there are called. I put a bigger load on it (more than one watt) and it bounces all over the place hehe. "n s n s" like the magnets when wired in series. Trial and error I suppose.

Its possible high voltage spikes can damage a capacitor.. so use a small capacitor to run these high voltage spikes (and hence current spikes) to the system ground. Im not sure what value, an oscilloscope would help determine that, but maby something small like 500 or 1000 pico-fards should short these high frequency signals to ground.

I was thinking of the DC output of the system. A higher voltage capacitor rating is ok like you said, but usually the higher voltage capacitors are not as large a capacitance. Sometimes though a high AC voltage can damage the bridge rectifier diodes. High frequency noise spikes can also case radio interference. Also turning the system on or off can also cause a high voltage spike. Shorting a small amt. of power to ground is bad, but sometimes necessary.

Maby there was a misunderstanding what I said. So here is an update: The large capacitor with a volate rating greater than the DC supply being created will be needed, and the larger its capacitance the better. Sometimes you must use a rating higher than is needed since the speed of the generater may increase (as in a windmill) and the output voltage will increase. The small (the smaller the better) capacitor(s) are needed also if you wish to short high spikes to ground.

I am going to make another video putting a 1, 4, and 10 watt load on it . I have to move my reed switch because the timing is being affected when I move the stator next to the rotor. TOO much magnetic fields going on I guess.
