I'm probably going to buy this same exact model John Deere you have now. How much lawn do you have to cut with this? And how long does it take? I have a good solid 6 acres of grass. I don't care how long it takes, just trying to get a rough idea. Actually, the more the better. Drinking beer while mowing the lawn is what I like to do best.

@bl3nd0r haha there ya go. i mow about 2 acres and that takes me about an hour, and if i have the bag on i empty it about 4 or 5 times, depending on how tall the grass is.

@gardentractor nope, no problems at all. just keep up on the regular service, takin good care it it, oil changes, and that kinda thing, and itll go forever

hey nice video but you should clean off the mowing deck it will prolong the life of deck and make it look nice just use a leaf blower or air compressor after each mow

@xboxmanluke thanks, ill be sure to do that. these decks also have a small valve opening where you can hook up a garden hose and it cleans it out. but every winter we do a complete cleaning of the underside of the deck and a blade sharpening

nice vid, i just got mine last week, one prob. i bought the bag for it but all my mulch is going everywhere except for the bag. any clue of what i might have done wrong.

@lionk2044 the tube might have been clogged, thats very common, or it was too wet to mow.

@TractorPerson1 yea 1 year later i bought the mulching blades for it cuz lowes said the blades do not come with it stock, well since then i have been able to bag the mulch twice all the rest of the times it gets clogged

LA145's have a good amount of stregth they are a double cylinder. The LA175 is the strongest of the La Series

I have a LA 105 It is basically the clutch drive version of the LA115 and i have no problem steering it

Bought a new LA115 back in October of '08, and used it once to vacuum/mulch all the leaves in my yard. My old push mower had packed it in, so it was about time I owned something new and dependable, and capable of managing a large yard. Love it! THIS year, I plan to get the snowthrower attachment.

Why not get a zero turn. It will save you about 50% of your time. It is like mowing on steroids. By the way did I tell you I have Grasshopper and Hustler Zero turns

i think those are more expensive, besides, we have a Kubota M4000 with a brush mower, and a JD 790 with a finishing mower. thanks for the comment!
