nobody has his dynamism. the only great kickboxer left in max is petro. i appreciate his tactical abilities, but he's so fucking boring. buakaw's finished, him rejoining max wouldn't even be exciting. and kyshenko, who was so promising, has yet to develop fully. seems like he'll be stuck at the same point forever.

there needs to be a new masato!

any competent boxer would murder masato in boxing, obviously. masato vs vince philips, masato was afraid to trade punches with a washed out middle aged has-been. not to say masato is bad at punching, but kickboxing trains you to fight at a different distance, different footwork, different combos, openings, blocks, counters... asking for the greatest of two disciplines to fight under limiting rules of any kind is ridiculous. masato is a great kickboxer. not a great boxer, mmaer, or anything else.

Second, the only way for him to land a proper strike without getting kneed or kicked is to jump in from somewhere farther than the kicking range because before he can even get his opponent in his punching range, he's going to have kicks constantly being thrown at him. And unlike boxing, it's impossible to completely dodge a kick so you need to know how to block.

He blocks like when he got cornered by Cotto or Margarito, it's over.

Let me state some facts.Masato kicking teqnique really sucks his punches are a lil bit better but he lacks of defense.The only reason that he achieved all the tropies he got is because he got really fast hands.In my opinion buakaw is much more Technical.Oh cammon masato isn't even rotating his left leg while kicking thats why he got so low power kicks.In general with a better trainer he could kick major ass.

@validcode Well, rotating your front foot is important in pure boxing, but in K-1 where kicks are allowed, if you miss and over commit your pivoting, you can leave your thigh open for a low kick. It's preferrable to leave your lead leg a bit straight so you can raise it and check kicks.
