It's hard to get the meaning in English but the Japanese word here for "too much knowing" (as in "knew too much") is more passive and shows that she didn't try to know it, it just comes upon her. 知る (to come across knowledge without trying) vs. 分かる (doing research to know something).

So, the 3rd eye is another eye of koishi and satori, but koishi closed her eye because satori suffered from knowing everyone's feelings. So satoris are youkai that are hated for their 3rd eye. Poor satori.
