Witchblade is the only series I've ever seen that gets more powerful each time I watch it. It's like knowing the end makes each moment that much more sad and bittersweet. It's beautiful is what it is. Never has feeling so sad been so satisfying.

Totally agree with you there. Elfen Lied had a better story and the characters are deeper. Doesn't take away from the fact that Witchblade was really good in its own right.

Actually.... she failed. If you check the entire Witchblade franchise, there is a wielder listed beyond Masane's time. and since the anime is part of the series canon, this would mean that Masane, despite her efforts, failed to destroy the Witchblade with her.

have you watched the anime properly? in one of the ending episodes it comes out that the Witchblade only chose Masane because she was supposed to be close to Masane's daughter, because it is Rihoko who is supposed to be the true wielder of the Witchblade. that's why she's so much more powerful...what IS the manga based on the anime called BTW?
Well, there is a Japanese novel. But the only relation is it happens in the same timeline as the anime and the main character is the bearer who immediately precedes Masane, yet the immediate successor of Takeru (the manga).
I wouldn't doubt it, lol. Most animes do have the 'fanservice' appeal in them. It's sad that people will rate Witchblade and Masane before watching and seeing the truth.
My only request is next time, don't include the spoilers of the last episode. It'll really ruin the impact of the ending for people that's never seen it ^^;
On a side note, anyone know where we can get the song on .MP3 format? It wasn't included in the OST that came with the collector's edition box + vol 1 ;-;
I watched the last episode...and re-watched the whole Witchblade anime I love it....its very awesome ^^ and I'm very glad that someone manage to get the full version of the ending credit song of Witchblade ^^ The songs fits perfectly in this vid XDD really it does :D so keep up with the good work :)
The absolute last thing at the end of the AMV is from the opening, XTC. I was gonna put the picture from Episode 22 or 25, one of them, but I didn't have it at the time. As for the other last scene. Yes, she does die. Which made me cry so much.

I watched the last episode...and re-watched the whole Witchblade anime I love it....its very awesome ^^ and I'm very glad that someone manage to get the full version of the ending credit song of Witchblade ^^ The songs fits perfectly in this vid XDD really it does :D so keep up with the good work :)

Nah, there's no second season. I don't think there will be, as as the story ends, you assume that the Witchblade is gone.

The absolute last thing at the end of the AMV is from the opening, XTC. I was gonna put the picture from Episode 22 or 25, one of them, but I didn't have it at the time. As for the other last scene. Yes, she does die. Which made me cry so much.

Woman. :3 And as for the DVDs, I don't have them, but once they come out in the US (hopefully as the non-TV version), I'm gonna buy them. For most of the episodes, I got it from Veoh and the rest from MobileBleach. Google them if you need to. :)
