Ok, I´m a Blender fan too, but I must say, it´s not good, it´s totally cliche - Oh! a dragon! I never saw one in an animation! Oh come on! Technically, as good as Elephants Dream. Note at the 20 sec (it looks like an animation for a game)If Blender wants to prove worth using it , the artists that use this software must prove that its possible to do much better than this!

Really good animation but the writing sucks - it seems like I've already heard those lines about 1000 times over 'The land of the gatekeepers' and 'I'm looking for someone', talking to a wise old man is really clichéd as well.

Maybe I'm just being to fast to judge, it might be better as the full film.

I mean the fact they got this far without the millions of dollars of funding (Like movies produced by Madman or other large studio) and are producing at such a high quality is incredible. No, the game engine's really not ready. But I can see a definite possibility of following up Durian with another Open Game Project, since Blender 2.5's updates really haven't touched on the game engine yet. It'd be a good avenue to improve/create many features.

Blender 2.5 is truly amazing and they develop a lot faster than commercial products. Blender is the best open source 3D program and if more and more skills come to light hopefully, pixar and all the other animation studios finally realize it is not the program but the skill!

Buying it will support the blender fundation. If you bought it early on you got into the credits like I did :)
