Iam pregnant 8th months and i wanted to make the panjiri. I could not find kharbuja beej in any Indian store. Can I use pumpkin seeds insted of kharbuja beej.
there are two type of gaunds ... one is char gaund that is for panjiri and second is normal gaund which is used in summer for faluda or in ice creams this gaund provide coolness to body and another ie char gaund gives heat to body
thanks aunty to shrae this panjiri with us its so help ful to me becoz here in US iam preg. 1st time and my parents should be not able to come so its very very help me
i could not find gaund so made it without that, it tasted good with sugar syrup and as well with sugar powder(here i used ghee to make balls).....my little baby loves the breast milk when i eat this everyday. thanks for your recipe.
what is the fun of roasting the Gaund and makhana if you put water in it. The gaund and makhana will not be crunchy any more and it becomes.gooey. Also if you put water it can not be preserved for a long time.
