@sansebastian1972 Apparently the only thing you can do is troll. Sandusky was not employed at Penn State in 2002. I don't say this out of any malice, nor do I have any "agenda": every coach or athletic director at every school I attended, had some kind of mental or emotional "bug" going on with them--a serious desire to control people. And the administrations of the schools left them alone to do whatever they wanted to do.
I've had my say. That bastard was fired, rightly so, and I believe that the victims will have their justice, if not in a criminal court, then certainly in a civil court.
I feel sad for them and their suffering, but I hope that if something good can come out of this, is that people realize that there is more to life than football programs and legacies, that moral responsibility extends beyond legal requirements, and that protecting the most vulnerable in our society is what counts.
Sports teams are the secret private enforcers of high school and college politics(not policies, POLITICS). Take sports out of a high school or college, and watch serious academic interest RISE and EXCEL. Athens and Sparta CANNOT successfully be confined within the same campus. That's just the way it is.
"Hey, 'Dusky! How they hangin'?(KICK!!) "Aaaauuugh!! Hey, Coach, whadya do that for?!" "It was either that, or cut 'em off right here an' now, ***hole! It was an "executive decision", ya might say...yeah, an executive decision, 'at's what it was. Now, leave those kids alone 'n' get back ta practice, dip****!" What HAPPENED to us? It's a loaded question, because I KNOW the answer. And so do YOU.
Two things irk me greatly: people in power who actively and openly abuse that power, and people in power who act as though they're not, and just let things happen as though they're not responsible for it(a form of abuse). By the way, Mr. Paterno, if you're thinking about it, suicide is NOT an option.
Sports teams are like the military: they recruit as young as possible, so the initiates know very little about life or the difference between right and wrong(there IS such a thing, by the way). Of all the people I would select as role models, no one in sports strikes any note whatsoever.
For most of my life, I've noticed that Americans, by and large, have this "thing" about abusing people and nations much weaker than ourselves. Now, WE'RE getting weak and ineffective in everything we put our hands to. Karma is real, and we'd better get ourselves together. The clock is TICKING. We wise up, or we pay the worst price.
If you know about, and take no serious corrective action against it, you condone, advocate and support it, and you have specific reasons for doing so, be they economic, traditional or personal. If I were in Paterno's shoes, Sandusky would be enjoying neither freedom nor good physical health by now. To top it off, I would probably emigrate to Italy and join the priesthood, where they don't care WHAT you do, including murder.
@UNDERGROUND2000 : I noticed that, too...."We just want you to watch and to know; we don't need your input." Apparently, ABCNews posts under several different account names.
You got your old ass fired for covering up for your record. You remind me of that character in Varisty Blues who only cared about winning another division title. Well asswipe, you're fired and you will always be remembered for it lol. Go Georgia Bulldogs!!!
Hmmmmmm.....8 kids, their parents went to the school instead of the police, school said "Meh, nothing we can do" and they wait TEN FUCKING YEARS? They didn't go straight to the police at the time?
all of (arrogant ass) paternos supporters deserve "some" blame in this. joepa's on the sidelines crapping his pants , getting his legs and knees broke because he doesn't have the sense to get out of the way and surely there are some PSU fans that have wanted him out but jopa supporters say"he's earned the right to stay as long as he wants". He knew no one had the balls to ask him to step down. This guy thought he was somekind of teflon don.
Paterno's legacy is that of a pedofile enabler. He is clearly sympathetic to old men who are attracted to young boys. Makes one wonder if he ever joined in.
When you know that children are being raped and don't report it to the police, you should probably be fired. Who cares if he's a good coach when it's obvious he's an awful human being?
@Cheshirecatmeow1 Right on. It's just sad that so many of these fanboys have propped him up on a pedestal, like a god amongst men. He clearly deserved to go, yet most of these fools are willingly blinding themselves because they care far more about a football program than what happened to those poor kids.
Just wondering... Joe Paterno, being the leader of this Penn State Roving Gang of Child Moletsters... is he a SWALLOWER or SPITTER? Maybe some of you Penis State faggots can answer, huh??? Go Penn!!!
Yeah and Bin laden hugged his kids every night that's just great. Just as I'm tired of hearing how HItler was good for the economy or that he once rescued a cat out of a tree, I'm tired of hearing about how good a man he was except for his uncanny knack for permitting pedophiles to run rampant and pluke little kids under his supervision.
I am OVERJOYED to hear that Spanier and Paterno have been sacked! They deserve it.
The Trustees did what was necessary to uphold basic ethical standards. Maintaining the image of a college athletic program is no excuse for enabling child rape, and anyone who thinks otherwise can go join these two jackasses on the unemployment line. The disgraced Paterno name should also immediately be removed from the east wing of Pattee and every one of these douchebag street agitators arrested and expelled.
"I just want my team to WIN, Goddamit!! I can't spend time worrying about my assistant coach's personal life!!" Weak logic, Mr. Paterno, and in the final analysis(no pun intended), very costly.
@BaseballVids25 Ok if thats your kid getting raped u would want sandusky to rot in hell and paterno to at least be fired, he didnt tell the cops and went home 10 years and slept soundly with that on his mind, he deserved to be fired. He hasnt done anything the past 15 years, he shouldve retired already he's bringing the team down but he doesnt care about the team obviously.
@BaseballVids25 Yes he should because if he isn't a pedophile himself, which he probably is, he sure thinks it is allright for kids to get molested in his players showers. He should be in prison not just fired.
@MindofaJedi who says he thinks it's alright, the man reported the situation and was exonerated by a Grand Jury. Penn State needs a scapegoat cause everyone up the food chain covered it up, Paterno reported what he heard and then the guy who saw this met with the the Athletic Director and the PSU President and told them the story. If they would have investigated and put the asshole in Jail, Paterno would have been known as the guy who helped lock up the guy
@danielraul1989 Wrong. He knew full well what happened in that shower, and when his superiors kept quiet, so did he. That is why he deserved to get fired. Dumbasses like you really need to stop posting to support Joe's negligent ass. Do you have kids yourself? What if that kid in the shower was your own? Have you put yourself in the shoes of the victims' families? You are a fucking terrble person for trying to make it seem like he did the right thing. He didn't.
@danielraul1989 Incorrect he reported hearing about 1 incident , he witnessed 2 seperate incidents AFTER the original report where Sandeuschebag was alone with a 10 year old boy in the Penn State training room. He was NOT exonerated. He simplt has not been charged yet. It will come. He went to hire the most high profile attorney in D.C. after he saw the grand jury report. He is criminally responsible for at least 2 incidents that are currently known.
@MindofaJedi funny I actually have a copy of the grand jury report, Where aside from victim 2 is Paterno mentioned? And where did it say he witnessed the boy and Sandursky or any other improper incident for that matter? I really would like to know
@BaseballVids25 yeah you're right, he shouldn't have been fired. Nothing wrong with keeping kid fucking on the DL. It's more important to save face and keep winning games, right? RIGHT?
You fucking morons. These kids are scarred for life. Yeah Joe didn't do the fucking but he turned a blind eye to child molestation and didn't call the police. Disgusting.
@DWarrior4 Yep, that will be his legacy from now on. I don't feel sorry for that pedophile enabler one bit. Someone should interview him and ask him if it was worth it.
It was a custom(yes, a CUSTOM)in Ancient Rome and Greece for fathers to sodomize their sons in order to maintain lifelong authority over them and ensure their loyalty through blackmail if they ever tried to rebel against the family. Typical royal and imperial "logic". P-A-T-E-R-N-O("father").....hmmmm....
"The Coach Who Never Quits"; There's a lesson in there somewhere--smart people KNOW when to quit, and they keep an eye on their subordinates in order to maintain the integrity of their situation. Note: in some countries, people who are discovered to be involved(or are even SUSPECTED of being involved)in such activities just "disappear"; the people won't tolerate it in people whom they've trusted in the guidance of their children.
I agree, he has done a lot for the school. paterno slammed his legacy with his horrible poor choice! Where the hell was his morals, with a football team (stacked up over the years, really not that great) and child rapist, or knowing the right thing to do.....very sad...I say he and all the rest that knew are guilty if any more kids were raped after the fact.
1) I don't understand why Paterno is being held responsible because his assistant coach is a perverted faggot. Is he supposed to follow his employees around 24/7 and make sure they don't do anything wrong? 2) Next time the faggots start whining about their "rights," remember this case and ask yourself if you want your child exposed to these filthy perverts. They need to stay in the closet. Better yet, they need to be locked in cages with their own kind for the rest of their pathetic lives.
@OHLeeRedux : There is no way you(referring to Paterno)can be around somebody like that for any length of time without having some idea, however hazy, or how closely they guard it, of their preferences. Some men cover it by constantly ogling and chasing women(a cover)or being extremely passionate about their "life's endeavor" to help "the guys" on the team win.
@OHLeeRedux 1) From reading your comment, I've come to the conclusion that you are retarded, and that's why you can't understand why Paterno is being held accountable for his role (and yes, he played a part) in this mess.
2) Pedophilia has nothing to do with homosexuals or their rights. However, since I've already concluded that you are retarded, I can understand how your feeble mind would make this kind of association.
Pro tip: always wear a rubber. We don't need any more retards.
@ktherock7 So you must be a homo, too. That's why you are sticking up for your fellow homo. And that's what he is, no matter how you try to spin it. He is a male, he had sex with other males, he is a faggot. QED. And you think it's perfectly okay to let people like that roam free so they can do what he did. Next time you and your buddies are hanging around grammar school restrooms trying to pick up dates, I hope a father who is a former linebacker catches you and beats you half to death.
@OHLeeRedux Nope, not a homo. But really, what the hell are you getting on about? Do you really not understand how homosexuality =/= pedophilia?
And where did I say that it was ok for pedophiles to "roam free so they can do what they want?" Your retardation is even more advanced than I thought it was. Are there voices telling you things that are not there? And what's with the raging homophobia? Most homophobes are secretely gay themselves, you know. Are you sweet on males?
@ktherock7 Denial is the first sign of faggotry. Well, next time you find yourself picking up little boys at the mall and taking them out to your car to play hide-the-python, you need to take a long, honest look at yourself. You fags brought down Joe Paterno because he wouldn't allow you to carry out your perversions underneath the bleachers. But you will get yours in the end -- so to speak. AIDS is just the warning shot.
@OHLeeRedux Your delusions are just so funny. Really, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that you are a gay man. Only a closeted homosexual would be so obsessed with homosexuality to this degree. Is it on your mind constantly? Do you think about dicks all the time?
Paterno brought it on himself, no one brought him down. I find it troubling that there are morons like you out there, reproducing...
@ktherock7 You are trying to cover up your faggotry by pointing the finger at others. That is typical of perverts, but it is also quite transparent. All you are able to do is repeat back my words -- you aren't even creative enough to think up your own excuses. But I'm sure those around you know what you are doing, and it is just a matter of time before the law catches up to you, just as it will to all perverted queers.
@OHLeeRedux Just so you know, I've enjoyed laughing at your pathetic comments. There is nothing wrong with homosexuality, yet people like you just can't let it go. It really must suck to be you, so afraid of homosexuals to the point where you just can't stop your subconscious from blurting out your true nature on to your comments. What a weak person you are, so driven and contorted by a fear of homosexuality, something that is so inoffensive in essence. I really pity you.
The coach that never quits...insisting that he was as shocked as everyone else about the activities of his pal Sandusky. Yes, that is one thing good old Joe is not going to quit any time soon.
Joe Pa, the coach who did nothing when he finds out a ten year old was anally raped in his locker room. Pedophile State University, you have the biggest scandal of all time on your hands.
Yeah, because we padded our OOC schedule with patsies. We get pantsed routinely against the big boys (USC, Bama, OSU) and cant beat freaking Iowa. We lose out on our top recruits and we are left scrambling and dishing out July camp offers to kids who arent good enough to cut it here. After this season, we have little depth in the secondary bc he didnt bother recruiting it and it will be like our QB situation last year due to failure to stock the cupboard.
Thanks for the laugh. I know more about PSU football than you could hope to in 100 lifetimes. Maybe your just a homer? I just don't disillusion myself into believing that Joe is still at his peak and that we are in our glory days. Thats it for now, but remember what I said when Joe starts that 5'6" candy-armed walk on and we lose 6 games again next year.

The man got 400. There is really nothing left he can accmplish that he already hasn't. Time to step aside Joe and let us become elite again, you know, like we used to be.
@BassAssassin9 Maybe Joe has other goals he wants to accomplish. Maybe he loves what he does and believes he can make a positive difference. You seem to conveniently forget that Joe had back-to-back 11-2 seasons 2 years ago. That's easily on par with past performance. We had a lot of injuries last year, we had inexperienced players at QB. We lost a lot of talent to the NFL. Look carefully. Bowman. Hali. Lee. Lots of PSU players on NFL rosters. If Joe can't coach, how can NFL teams sign PSU guys?

It was an "executive decision", ya might say...yeah, an executive decision, 'at's what it was. Now, leave those kids alone 'n' get back ta practice, dip****!" What HAPPENED to us? It's a loaded question, because I KNOW the answer. And so do YOU.

Two things irk me greatly: people in power who actively and openly abuse that power, and people in power who act as though they're not, and just let things happen as though they're not responsible for it(a form of abuse). By the way, Mr. Paterno, if you're thinking about it, suicide is NOT an option.
buzzclick500 3 months ago
Sports teams are like the military: they recruit as young as possible, so the initiates know very little about life or the difference between right and wrong(there IS such a thing, by the way). Of all the people I would select as role models, no one in sports strikes any note whatsoever.
buzzclick500 3 months ago
For most of my life, I've noticed that Americans, by and large, have this "thing" about abusing people and nations much weaker than ourselves. Now, WE'RE getting weak and ineffective in everything we put our hands to. Karma is real, and we'd better get ourselves together. The clock is TICKING. We wise up, or we pay the worst price.

About time this lowlife got fired! What a truly despicable thing he has done to all those boys, by failing to stop Sandusky.
Shame on you, Paterno, and shame on ANYONE who defends him and his actions.
comfortat 3 months ago
If you know about, and take no serious corrective action against it, you condone, advocate and support it, and you have specific reasons for doing so, be they economic, traditional or personal. If I were in Paterno's shoes, Sandusky would be enjoying neither freedom nor good physical health by now. To top it off, I would probably emigrate to Italy and join the priesthood, where they don't care WHAT you do, including murder.

all of (arrogant ass) paternos supporters deserve "some" blame in this. joepa's on the sidelines crapping his pants , getting his legs and knees broke because he doesn't have the sense to get out of the way and surely there are some PSU fans that have wanted him out but jopa supporters say"he's earned the right to stay as long as he wants". He knew no one had the balls to ask him to step down. This guy thought he was somekind of teflon don.

Paterno's legacy is that of a pedofile enabler. He is clearly sympathetic to old men who are attracted to young boys. Makes one wonder if he ever joined in.

@Cheshirecatmeow1 Right on. It's just sad that so many of these fanboys have propped him up on a pedestal, like a god amongst men. He clearly deserved to go, yet most of these fools are willingly blinding themselves because they care far more about a football program than what happened to those poor kids.

Yeah and Bin laden hugged his kids every night that's just great.

MindofaJedi 3 months ago
@MindofaJedi who says he thinks it's alright, the man reported the situation and was exonerated by a Grand Jury. Penn State needs a scapegoat cause everyone up the food chain covered it up, Paterno reported what he heard and then the guy who saw this met with the the Athletic Director and the PSU President and told them the story. If they would have investigated and put the asshole in Jail, Paterno would have been known as the guy who helped lock up the guy
danielraul1989 3 months ago
@danielraul1989 Wrong. He knew full well what happened in that shower, and when his superiors kept quiet, so did he. That is why he deserved to get fired. Dumbasses like you really need to stop posting to support Joe's negligent ass. Do you have kids yourself? What if that kid in the shower was your own? Have you put yourself in the shoes of the victims' families? You are a fucking terrble person for trying to make it seem like he did the right thing. He didn't.
ktherock7 3 months ago
@danielraul1989 Incorrect he reported hearing about 1 incident , he witnessed 2 seperate incidents AFTER the original report where Sandeuschebag was alone with a 10 year old boy in the Penn State training room. He was NOT exonerated. He simplt has not been charged yet. It will come. He went to hire the most high profile attorney in D.C. after he saw the grand jury report. He is criminally responsible for at least 2 incidents that are currently known.
MindofaJedi 3 months ago
@MindofaJedi funny I actually have a copy of the grand jury report, Where aside from victim 2 is Paterno mentioned? And where did it say he witnessed the boy and Sandursky or any other improper incident for that matter? I really would like to know

@BaseballVids25 yeah you're right, he shouldn't have been fired. Nothing wrong with keeping kid fucking on the DL. It's more important to save face and keep winning games, right? RIGHT?

Better yet, they need to be locked in cages with their own kind for the rest of their pathetic lives.

buzzclick500 4 months ago
@OHLeeRedux : There is no way you(referring to Paterno)can be around somebody like that for any length of time without having some idea, however hazy, or how closely they guard it, of their preferences. Some men cover it by constantly ogling and chasing women(a cover)or being extremely passionate about their "life's endeavor" to help "the guys" on the team win.

@OHLeeRedux Or just lock up all football coaches..?
guarddog22 4 months ago
@OHLeeRedux 1) From reading your comment, I've come to the conclusion that you are retarded, and that's why you can't understand why Paterno is being held accountable for his role (and yes, he played a part) in this mess.
2) Pedophilia has nothing to do with homosexuals or their rights. However, since I've already concluded that you are retarded, I can understand how your feeble mind would make this kind of association.
Pro tip: always wear a rubber. We don't need any more retards.
ktherock7 4 months ago
@ktherock7 So you must be a homo, too. That's why you are sticking up for your fellow homo. And that's what he is, no matter how you try to spin it. He is a male, he had sex with other males, he is a faggot. QED. And you think it's perfectly okay to let people like that roam free so they can do what he did. Next time you and your buddies are hanging around grammar school restrooms trying to pick up dates, I hope a father who is a former linebacker catches you and beats you half to death.
OHLeeRedux 4 months ago
@OHLeeRedux Nope, not a homo. But really, what the hell are you getting on about? Do you really not understand how homosexuality =/= pedophilia?
And where did I say that it was ok for pedophiles to "roam free so they can do what they want?" Your retardation is even more advanced than I thought it was. Are there voices telling you things that are not there? And what's with the raging homophobia? Most homophobes are secretely gay themselves, you know. Are you sweet on males?
ktherock7 4 months ago
@ktherock7 Denial is the first sign of faggotry. Well, next time you find yourself picking up little boys at the mall and taking them out to your car to play hide-the-python, you need to take a long, honest look at yourself. You fags brought down Joe Paterno because he wouldn't allow you to carry out your perversions underneath the bleachers. But you will get yours in the end -- so to speak. AIDS is just the warning shot.
OHLeeRedux 4 months ago
@OHLeeRedux Your delusions are just so funny. Really, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that you are a gay man. Only a closeted homosexual would be so obsessed with homosexuality to this degree. Is it on your mind constantly? Do you think about dicks all the time?
Paterno brought it on himself, no one brought him down. I find it troubling that there are morons like you out there, reproducing...
ktherock7 4 months ago
@ktherock7 You are trying to cover up your faggotry by pointing the finger at others. That is typical of perverts, but it is also quite transparent. All you are able to do is repeat back my words -- you aren't even creative enough to think up your own excuses. But I'm sure those around you know what you are doing, and it is just a matter of time before the law catches up to you, just as it will to all perverted queers.
OHLeeRedux 3 months ago
@OHLeeRedux Just so you know, I've enjoyed laughing at your pathetic comments. There is nothing wrong with homosexuality, yet people like you just can't let it go. It really must suck to be you, so afraid of homosexuals to the point where you just can't stop your subconscious from blurting out your true nature on to your comments. What a weak person you are, so driven and contorted by a fear of homosexuality, something that is so inoffensive in essence. I really pity you.
