A couple people commented that Hendrix is playing a right handed guitar upside down with the strings as they normally would be on a right handed guitar. For those who are unaware, Hendrix always played an upside down, right handed Stratocaster but he switched the strings around so that they would be the same as on a left handed guitar. You can see him hit the low notes of the intro riff exactly where they would be on a lefty strung guitar at 0:21 . Also look at the strings at 1:31.
