It should be a requirement that anyone considering getting into daytrading should watch this video first. It's a good smack into reality. May I ask you what you recommend the minimum trading portfolio size be, in order to expect a $2000 gain off a day trade, and how much capital one should expect to deploy to gain that $2000?
To assume a $2000 a day consistently is not a realistic view imo. I look at weekly and monthly targets as othewise u will put a lot of pressure on yourself. As the instruments are highly leveraged u can achieve 10-15% per month of the leveraged figure, but u'll need to be a top trader for that, and maintain total consistency, this requires practice and skill and is not to be underestimated or overestimated. The minimum you can lose without it affectingg your lifestyle. Start trading mini lots and increase as you see success.
