Wow, was premier Chavez in power then. Wow!

At the level of any orchestra in the USA. So mature in their virtuosity. I haven't heard this in some time, and it was a very refreshing delight. Flawless. I especially want to commend the oboist for great solo parts.

How does tchaikovsky produce that shimmering effect at 7:09????

@pedrovski10 The effect is produced by three flutes playing close-grouped chords

and playing each new note twice. I agree it is a lovely sound and very characteristic of Tchaikowsky.

@paulybarr The flute effect is created by moving upon triad chords :) two flutes play the 1st and and notes of the triad and the 3rd Flute plays the 3rd note of the triad but plays the note briefly whilst moving up a tone directly afterward using 6semi quaver notes over 3 quavers per beat :) hope this helps :) and they are amazing at playnig this piece of music!! this is one the hardest pieces of Tchaikovskys music :)

siempre bajo a las grandes orquestas interpretando a Tchaikovsky, Dukas, Katchaturian, etc... La verdad que me han impresionado el nivel y juventud de esta orquesta, pese a todo lo que nos dicen aquí en Perú, esto es sintomático de que los jóvenes venezolanos se tomaron en serio la cultura y el desarrollo de su patria. Mucha suerte y adelante hermanos de Venezuela
