Somehow I think that RE4 is spookier than RE5. When I was playing chapter 5 and 6 in RE5, seldom did I use handgun and melee. A little bit like playing FPS game like Halo series.

@shadowarena I have to agree with some points uve made, the aim system and configuration was a complete copy from re4, the developers said that, but its not COMPLETELY a copy, thank god for that, i mean, who in the hell wants ashley again anyways! ^^ I still have a copy of the original res ev for the playstation and i have to say that CAPCOM is making the games more and more different, and easier for a wider public, unfortunately this also mean that any kid ...

i agree with meow3890, i loved the strategy parts of the old RE games but these newer ones still kick ass, plus, i love badass video cutscenes and twists in a game

I have not played any resident evil games other than RE5 and RE4, so i wont be talking in comparioson to the series. resident evil 5 is an awsome game, and i am glad capcom took a more action oriented approach to it. I love action games, survival horror not so much

1. It's pretty much a re-skin of RE 4, with co-op added.

2. It's not scary. RE 4 had it's fair share of creepy, and "jump scare" parts; RE 5 did not.

3. Does not fit the genre "survival horror." Ammo and health item conservation were no longer concerns, since players can always restock from a previous chapter. "Survival" turned into, "Hey, let's just go kill everything!"

4. It lacked puzzles; a staple of the Resident Evil series.

5. No tension, no sense of urgency.
