We have the East Alabama Railray (EARY) between Sylacauga and Talladega. I hate to admit I've only shot it once. Need to get back over. It and several other shortlines in AL have been bought out by Geneese and Wyoming and paint schemes are going out the window. Think they also bought GA Southwestern. You all probably have much more on that.
Videos like this are what I was writing you about last night - giving railfans in other areas a look at the action in your neighborhood as well as a feel for the railroad itself. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks! I understand what you mean, I like filming these classic engines, these trains come by where I work about 2-3 times daily...I'm going to try to get some more footage of them in the future, everyone seems to like to see them...
They usually run a northbound and a southbound daily. Sometimes on the weekends if there is a unit train for Holly Springs. However, there is also a daily switcher in the Marietta area
What a wonderfull sound from the horn. Is that a LESLIE 3 tone HORN ???.. I wish the locomotive here in Denmark would have that horn.
GREAT video.
Thanks.

@rayjsu70 EARY was actually bought by Rail America. GSWR was, as you said, purchased by GWI.

GREAT old GP's here, and awesome horn on that '20'!! Does the local run on any kind of a schedule or do you just have to "wait and hope"?? (c:

They run a schedule for the most part...come by about the same time every morning heading North then come back around 4-5PM...
