I just had a little baby girl a month and a half ago and I couldn't imagine losing my husband. I was absolutely sobbing when I watched his audition and I'm sobbing again. I honestly don't know how he was able to move on and I don't know how he's not crying every time he sings a song. You can definitely tell he's singing for her. Beautiful and inspiring. :)

He brought up the sob story of his wife before that performance. The only reason he was saved. And it's rather pathetic tbh. Sob stories year in year out. x factor isnt even about singing anymore.

And he brought it up throughout the live shows.

I obviously was sympathetic when he was on the show but using your dead wife as excuse to stay in the show is just....bad form like.

Oh and he supposedly he had another wife then. Fyi. So it was bad form on his part.

but it is a singing competition and not a "who can make louis cry and save them" competition.

Proud to talk about her, it was not a plan to keep me in, sad people even think i would do that. Sing off had to be an important song and you had to have a reason, i thought i was going so i sang it for her, my only ever wife by the way! might be good to get your facts right.

@junelyc not a story, its was the pivotal moment of my life, because i never went before even though she asked me to, it was my one regret, so ater she died i did, what did i have to lose. When i look back maybe the producers played on it too much, speak to the producers about that, they did sell me as the sob story, but nothing i can do about it now. The amount of peple that sent me inspirational messages who had been through similar and i gave them hope, no haters can take that away.

Going by the performances and then how they conducted themselves, i think that the judges wer right in keeping Daniel. He was respectful and held himself well, scott just came across as a sulky brat. Also, that was an absolutely amazing performance by Daniel.

I really hate that I feel this way, because I know losing his wife is hands down the worst thing that could happen to anybody. He is so very talented, and looks like a sweet man. But I feel like he exploited the tragedy a little bit. No one wants to send home a sweet guy who sang an emotional song about his wife that passed, and because of that circumstance, Scott didn't stand a chance.

This is my favourite x factor moment of all time because I think this was the best preformance by anyone since the shows creation. Louis said it, he sang every word like he meant it. I still think its funny how Louis used to always call him Ricky Gervai (With no S)
