I own one of these, and I don't hate it. My big criticisms with it, though, is an occasional (quite rare, actually) shutdown, where it shuts itself down for 30 seconds, and you have to wait to turn it back on again. Plus, sometimes the V.O. is un clear with songs. Also, WHEN IS THE 4GB AND 8GB versions coming out?

@aljondavid you can't just drag and drop songs from you laptop to ipod. you need itunes. but i think you can sync also with winamp or even windows media player maybe.

Everyone's complaining about "hitting the wrong button" or "accidentally pressing something". There IS a lock feature. Hold the center button for about 3 seconds, you should hear a "locking" sound similar to the one on the iPhone and iPod Touch. To unlock, simple hold it again.

It's a bit..flimsy. the width between the audio jack and the outer body is so thin (about a half a MM) it managed to dent in my pocket.

Still, great little device though, the sound the quality is amazing!!

I've had about 6 Sansa clips so I didn't know what to expect with the Shuffle. So far I love it. It's metal, so it won't fall about as easily as the cip, and what I like is that though it doesn't have a screen display, you don't have to shuffle the music (play at random).

You can play it alphabetically. Just put the switch in the middle

I just got this ipod, but in order to use it, i need to upgrade my itunes to the 10.4 version. The thing is that i'm running the Mac OS Tiger version, and to use the itunes 10.4 i need the snow leopard! Is there anyway i can upgrade to the latest itunes version without upgrading to the snow leopard?! Or anything else i can do?! Any suggestion is appreciated! Thanx.

@brickmaste on the ipod shuffles that one cable he showed us is for charging and syncing music and other stuff but on the 1st generation the usb port was part of the device itself this model looks awesome (the 4th gen.) im getting one for christmas! hope this helps! and its good for the price!
