Day 3 here, just finished the Back to Core workout. Honestly, I'm a little dissapointed. I was really expecting some hardcore cardio from Asylum. After day 1 Speed and Agility I was like: "I'm so gonna love this" but after today's an yesterday's workout I'm not so sure anymore.
I want to do this, but I'm way too out of shape. I lost 13 pounds so far in my 1st 30 days of p90x, I went from 285 to 272 pounds. I figure I should be at 245 in 60 more days. Then I'll do p90x a second time and get down to hopefully 190-215 pounds. Then I'll try insanity and then asylum.
@nolandubya yes very, i will keep going i have been lifting heavy in the gym the whole year but not keeping up with conditioning and did this ever humble me it made me feel like a beginner all over again, the results posted here were amazing it's nice to have a benefit from cardio ie athletic performance thanks for the words of encouragement
@thebestproducer123 Since the ladder is used with 90% of the moves, you'd have a hard time getting the same effect without it. It comes with the program though so you should be all set.
@loundeadnlv1977 Common Sense here, P90x is a program designed to get you muscle and lose fat, it consists of mostly strength workouts with having 2 cardio workouts, Insanity on the other hand... if you didn't notice is all cardio...
@loundeadnlv1977 LIke the other guy said, Insanity is all cardio. P90X is both cardio and resistance. I'd say to do P90X all the way through and your stamina will be great.
@loundeadnlv1977 insanity is a better workout in my opinion if you want to have great health overall. p90x is slow and you will end up with a bunch of muscle but you won't be as fast as you would be after asylum or the regular insanity. I'm currently doing the regular insanity for the second time and p90x at the same time to have the best of both worlds because you need both speed and strength in order to be great.
part 3 ...lol sorry for this but i really need an answer for my workouts i will have a schedule i have and for off days i will do the ploy on p90x since i love it and abs such as 200 sit-ups 100 with 12 medicine ball alternating sides and 25 leg raises so please help me the smith machine might be a christmas present so thats why I'm concerned??? and i will use it so i don't have to go to the gym will also get bow flex dumbbells the 552 ones with stand...thanks coach hope i didn't annoy you i
@GreekGotSwag I don't see why you need a machine. I don't use a machine. Just use the modified moves to get better at pullups and pushups and let your body be your machine. That would be my recommendation.
Part 2 ....too hard and those are mostly in every workout...i have good biceps and my fav for some reason thighs =p but lack in tris and chest so will it be a good idea ...and should i get a product that assists me on my pull-ups/push ups...on the smith machine ill use the leg stuff preacher bench part lat pulldowns rows flys etc so please respond I'm seriously stuck..and i just got serious with working out join to doc to see for supps lol part 3 coming I'm sorry lol

I just dont want that that the muscle im getting from p90x is going to be gone while doing asylum as ive now seen that lot of my muscles from my hands are dropping during insanity workouts but my legs and back look much more slim.
@nolandubya well i have p90x, but i need something that is more pointed towards sports. i used to be in this training facility where it was harder than p90x and pretty much the same stuff as this. but dont you usually go at your own level for this ?

Hey man i have a question well i am goig to greece on july 19 and i want to loose some weight im not going to start p90x over until i come back but if i do all the cardio workouts like plyo cardiox and 2 miles on treadmil a day with also abripper i will loose weight and fat or should i just do all the excercises?
@iplayrs2011 If you are going out of town for a week or two (not sure how long you are planning to be gone) and want to maintain with some cardio that's fine. If you are between rounds, it's not like you are getting out of sequence anyways. But if you can do some lifting workouts while there, that's nice too so that you don't lose any ground with the strength gains youve made.
