Let us never forget Nadia.

Unlike ballet and figure skating and, ugh, cheerleading, gymnasts aren't just cute little cupie dolls. Gymnastics is a VERY DIFFICULT sport. It demands EVERYTHING from a girl and she usually pays a price at some point. The Romanians pay it. Others don't - for instance the Sydney U.S. team.

Personally I don't have the guts to be a gymnast. It is too much work for me. So I just watch it and learn.

i feel so sorry for her. she was only 12! i know she had an aneurysm but i wish she could have lived to be at the olympics. such tralent and beauty thrown away so early.

definatly! i tried to search her on google, so i can know more about her. and all i could find were stories of her death. i wish we were able to know more about her. shes beautiful and talented. i was looking forward to seeing her at the 2008 olympics. =[

didnt die of a stroke; she had a brain hemerage at birth , she didnt have a fall, she was complaining of a headache in training got looked at by the doctors onsite and they rushed her to hospital she went into a coma and died five days later

She died after suffering a stroke (cerebrovascular accident) in 2001. She was 12.
