I don't get this ending. You go around the maze of the University tyring to find the components of Daylight to save humanity and just end up dying in vain, but still completing the mission?

@mugatu5000 The thing is you only get 1 daylight then, they give it to the helicopter instead of using it on themself then two of them are left = this ending

almost cried... such a sad ending because these are the two most hospitiable characters feeling each other and in love.

It was meant to be for them... cindy personality and george's also natural as an accomplish hospitiable doctor... AS CHARACTERS in this story, I guess you can say it was meant to be for them because they wouldve fulfilled on earth and heaven was ready for them

Here is something you should definetly try if you don't feel like beliving in the Outbreak.

Before you go to sleep watch some clips with some charachter that Makes things sad like say Cindy & George. They make a cute couple toghether.

I don't think Raccoon City is a 'small town'. It is more like an industrialized mjor city. After all, I won't call any city with a population of 100,000 a 'small town'. Also, they have their own Subway System and Highway.

No. This is the special ending of the game. I think the good ending is the real one.

Yeah, the good ending is probably the real one, but I don't think that any of them are even canon to the main storyline, mainly because they used several rockets, while in the real one they use one nuclear missile.:)

file 2 is just more scenerios within their version of the outbreak. they do run in a confirmed order... confirmed by Capcom

no so capcom stated i believe teh scaenarios do NOt follow each other think above how in the hell would any of the survivors be in the umbrella facility the only teo people exepmt tot his are yoko ( obviously) and possibly George since they both know or have some times to them. the scenarios are all what fi situations. as far as them surviving I'm pretty sure tehyd id since as we know the people that actually survived was more than these 8. thsis is just Their perspective of it.

Yeah, the they are all sporadic and not even canon, but they are cool though, and Yoko is the only one with ties to Umbrella, hence Greg and Monica, but some of the other characters fit in well, like Alyssa being a reporter, hello Ben Bertolucci, Kevin being in the RPD, enough said, and George working at Raccoon Hospital, but someo of the others really don't belong anywhere else but here.:)

The STARS were great, but having regular folk was nice too, it would be nice to see more of them, like an Outbreak File#3...:)

Actually, most of the Outbreak events occur before RE 3. The key giveaway to this is the fact that the RPD Station is still NOT infested with zombies.  So yes, I guess you can say that those people are the zombies that Jill and Leon are killing. I think RE 2 happens slightly, ever so slightly before RE 3 (maybe Leon arrives at the station while Jill's already leaving on the train to the clocktower).
