This is awesome! I haven't listened to AIC in years but loved them back in the 90's. I started listening to them again after seeing Mike Starr on Celebrity Rehab. I forgot just how awesome they are. BUT, damn - Layne does look like a mental patient and Jerry does look like he's pissed. I have to say that I HATE that AIC reformed. They will never be the same without Layne!

Hi there. Yeah, I'd be pretty pissed off too. I can totally undestand why AIC fell apart in the mid-90's. You can't continue to perform if you are so messed up and a huge junkie which Layne really was. I'm not being mean, but let's face it - I think he made Kurt Cobain look like a mild heroin user! Anyway, sorry but I am on the side of AIC fans who simply can't stomach hearing that AIC is formed again with a new singer. I just can't do it. Layne WAS Alice in Chains.

Wow! I've got some mixed feelings about this one. Layne appears stoned/f'd up but, then again, who cares. He's an amazing singer & I love his presence and natural talent. I'm not feeling the love for Duvall at all. I don't think the new Alice will do well. There's too much natural charisma with Layne. I love all of Laynes' songs live better than the album version anyday! You can feel the passion and power that comes out of him.... Layne did what alot of musicians did at that time,he tried heroin probably at a party a few times,then got some for himself and used that up,got heavy into it,before he knew it he was probably shooting up,and once you start shooting heroin you're screwed,he had all the money in the world to use on the drug so the cost wasnt a problem,and he was addicted for at least 5 years before he saw it was killing him by then its hard as shit to quit,and he od'd just cuz his tolerance was so high.

Nobody will tell you Layne wasn't extremely important to AIC, but Jerry did write almost all the music and about half of their lyrics. So to say Layne was AIC is silly. Don't accuse them of cashing in because they want to play together again.
