I wish BA didn't order A319, 20 and 21. Airbus windows are so tiny! and the engine sound is alot better on a boeing. or atleast it is every time I've flown on them.
But you can open them up on the ground. It's nice to have fresh air blowing in whilst the aircraft is on tarmac on a hot day, it saves having the APU (Auxillary Power unit) running unncessarily, burning fuel to provide air-conditioning, or having a ground power truck.
First escape route for the pilots in an emergency. Cockpit door might be stuck. Has an escape rope in the window frame so that they don't fall flat on their arses.
Lol, did you shoot this at night? I think it would have been cool to get a shot in of the cockpit: I love the cockpits although I wouldn't have a clue as to the uses of the bazillions of switches and levers lol!
thanks for the comment, unfortunately i dont work at gatwick anymore. To be honest the 400/500 is no different to the 300 inside except obvioulsy the length of the aircraft. the galley and toilet look slighly different.
You can tell were the traveller/club europe combi seats end and the crap ones begin lol.
When I have flown with BA from gatwick the crew seem great but theres one long-haul cabin service director there who is rude abrubt and I would give her the boot. Both times long-haul from there shes been on my flight.
I walked on a 737 and flown on one too.

@rednecklife1993 --- Ventilation on the ground. Airplanes get pretty damn hot when the AC is off.

LOL, I noticed that too. Whenever flying in a BA 737 I try to reserve a seat around row 11 so you get the combi seat just not the wideness of club.
