They forgot the scam where you overcharge for a product and then input a wrong amount on a register. Your lunch costs 4.00, The cashier in the lounge says. "That'll be 6.00, You overpay 2 dollars. and the cashier inputs it as 4 dollars in the register and pockets the additional 2 dollars you paid.

once you have given the change of $6.50. you tell them immediately.thats: $8 change, and say thankyou. the customer just puts the change in pocket, wallet, or purse. and doesnt count it. ive never actually done this but from experience MOST the custmers do not count the change (99% of the time when recieving small change). why i think this is becoz. 1) there happy they have there product. 2) they got given some change back.

i work in retail. if someone purchased something it would be so easy to give them back incorrect change, NOT even by counting the change out to them. They usually trust what change you give them - within reason (give them alot of coins). example. customer buys something from store total $12. shes gives $20. she expects $8 change. you give her small change. for example. 0.50 + 0.50 + 0.20 + 0.20 + 0.10 + a $5 note. total change given = $6.50.

give coins 1st - all at once, then $5 on top.

Also, more advice: If you're a buyer, or a seller, count anything that goes in your till (or wallet), and count everything that comes out of your till (or wallet), twice, before you walk away (or allowing the customer to walk away), Especially when it concerns a bunch of low-amount bills or coins.

Problem with this con, is that sometimes people *accidently* miscount change, so even if they did short-change you, it isn't really right to go and get mad at them, or get violent with them, or anything, as there's no proof that the seller intentionally short-changed you, as we are all human beings, and can miscount sometimes. I'm a cashier, and I know I've miscounted a time or two in the past.

I work at woolworths and I serve probably 300 customers any day I work. That means 300 dollars for me, if I scam every one. Doesn't happen that way however, I probably only scam the irregulars, so every 5/6th customer maybe. Still $50 for me every shift XD

Nope, no one ever notices. The trick is to find the people who are in a rush or on the phone, or in other ways distracted, and do it to them. Generally they won't count the change and bidda bing bidda bang 2 bucks, haha.

it's pretty shitty that the sound is out of sync. cause it's pretty important to hear what he's doing you know. i think it's important to know the shortchanging trick before trying the "change raising con" cause this is the point where that scam succeeds or fails.
