Ludmilla Lokomotive is from Russia, Lugansk. They were build for the eastern german railway company DR. Inthe DDR they weren't allowed to build loko's with more than 2000 hp.
So Big Brother Russia was in charge to do so. I hope that i have mr digimaks cleared up... ps after the german reunion they belong to Deutsche Bahn You can see them also in the BeNeLux. (railion is part of the DB.)
Thats right, I heard it was scrapped, which is a shame, it should have been brought back to UK in my opinion and preserved as an important part of heritage as it was a forerunner to the 47 after all.

To be correct. It is Ukrainian built locomotive in Lugansk, Ukraine.

The loco looks like a british one from the 60s. one was exported from the uk (Kestral)

"Ludmilla" locomotive is German. It Was exploited in Russia , but in end of 90s they were shipped back to Germany.
