  • The person singing backup vocals is Jason Cropper: The original guitarist who left the band in like 92/93-ish. I always wondered what Weezer would've been like if he stayed. This is quite a gem in Weezer's collection.

  • You can really hear some Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., and Sonic Youth influence in this track. Really great stuff!

  • @MegaCrasher3000

I hear a heavy Nirvana influence.

  • This is one of the Kitchen Tape demos. Did this ever formulate into a finished product?

  • ohhhh yeahhh!!!!

  • I'm guessing Rivers was listening to Surfa Rosa before he wrote this then xD

  • This is back when Rivers wanted to be Frank Black instead of Rob Thomas.

  • @gokinsmen Sad but very true. :(

  • Actually its on the deluxe version of the blue album

  • one of their best.

  • it was a blue album bonus disc track

  • weezer said his influence for this song was pixies and nirvana

  • It's on blue deluxe and alone 2

  • rape my face?

  • maximum weezer carnage, more songs like this plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • this was on Blue album Deluxe

  • i love this fucking song

  • oh my goodness...weezer cant do no wrong!

  • As bad as that sounded, it was still awesome

  • I love this song.

It's amazing and an AWESOME change for Weezer along the way of making their usual rock&roll music.

This song is amazing because it changes so much, from like, soft to screaming!

Great song, I could listen to it all day.

    :)

  • rivers yells kinda like kurt in this !!! matter of fact this whole song is nirvanaesque but then again nirvana was influenced by the pixies so there u go its a neverending circle !!!

  • rivers yells kinda like kurt in this !!!

  • No dislikes, how it should be.

  • @iRock295 so true so true

  • This song summarizes what a Pixies influence sounds like. His voice sounds like Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins at some parts.

  • It's crazy hearing Weezer going this hard. This song is the shit.

  • This is awesooome!

  • its actually in the blue album deluxe edition

  • Sounds so much like Nirvana.

  • @Th32ick1 Not really it sounds like The Pixies cause Nirvana sounds like The Pixies.

  • @Dltn97 True, both bands were influenced by The Pixies. The chorus, in my opinion, sounds more like Nirvana, though.

  • 3000 times in a row and still killer. Weezer go Superchunk = can but beget nowt but a steaming chunk of awesome. Not sure what the other 14000 of ye are listening to...

  • this song is like the theme song for reservior dogs.... amazing

  • that song is nuts but it rocks

  • Parts of this song sound a lot like early Nirvana - "Sliver."

  • this song fucking rocks!

  • by far one of the best weezer songs ever

  • its on the blue album disc two or something

  • Yeahh no dislikes bitch!

  • Ha! River's love of Nirvana is so evident in this track!

  • I miss this Weezer...everyone should emulate Black Francis, and the world's problems would solve themselves....

  • Pretty cool song, definitely has a Pixies sound to it.

  • But that's alright

    There's just one thing

    Her wedding ring, or anything

She left behind, forgot to pack

How the hell is she gonna get it back?

    PAPERFACE!!! PA-PER FAAAAAACE!

  • i remember an mp3 of this floating around the internet circa 1997. good song

  • this was a b-side

  • @stinkysmellyshoes No it wasn't, it was completely unreleased until TBA: Deluxe.

  • @lazrpo No it wasn't you moron. I had this song WAY before the Deluxe Edition came out.

  • @mywhitenoise @mywhitenoise But it wasn't officially released, douchefaggot. Thanks for resorting to name calling to make your statement SO much better. Maybe you should read the WHOLE conversation before you resort to being an asshole.

  • Imagine Frank Black and Rivers singing this song together at some future concert.

  • I guess the pixies, I would say it sounds like a nirvana song to me. then again nirvana was heavily influenced by the pixies soooooooooooooooooo.............

  • @detlefius1 Weezer listed the Pixes and Nirvana as two of there biggest influences.

  • @UndergroundInsomniac Actually it is part of the blue album, but its on the deluxe edition because its a demo and not polished.

  • This is one of my favorite Weezer songs but you can tell with alot of older material that didn't make it on the Blue Album (like paperface & Mrs.Young) that the songs were missing something.

    -juliO!

  • Well, this song's not a pop, radio friendly song like the rest of the songs on TBA. It sounds more like it was written around the time of Answer Man and songs like that.
