Sorry if I sound like a noob, but does having fire in one of your hands while you assassinate one-handed cause fire damage, or is the sword just enchanted? I've seen the other assassination videos, and fire is used in the left there too. Is it just cosmetic?

@maathiaasful First, from behind. Second, if you get the perk "Assassins blade", it'll make sneak attack damage from daggers 15x stronger. Third, if you join the Dark Brotherhood (you can google or look up how to join them), you get a full armor (light) from them. The hand armor (sorry, forgot how to spell them) make back stab damage 2x stronger. You can also get the perk "Shadow warrior" which makes your character invisible for half a second in the middle of combat by entering sneak.

@ecaflop1 it depends on the health of the person, it has to be instant kill. The leveling of the ground also matters. It can only be done on flat or near flat surfaces, places where the npc is sitting down, or on a staircase is not going to trigger the scene. Hope this helped!

How to assassinate like this (with the cinematic)? I do use two daggers (glass dagger + mehrunes razor) and I do deal 30x backstab damage, but never did an assassination like this. To perform an assassination like that, you have to use only 1 sword/dagger.

Approach the target with the weapon draw, then hold left click aiming at his back ( That's how I do assassinate people )
