  • Try The Crazy World of Arthur Brown ... gets weirder than Alice too.

  • used to listen to this with the lights out when i was a kid.

  • RARE. Real rare. Настоящий раритет.

  • I bet this song sounded frightining 40 years ago. Now it's just kicks ass.

  • Love the old school shock rock

  • I have LOVED Alice since I 1st heard him when I was 14....I'm MUCH older now

  • @momtowolves same here! Been lucky enough to meet him twice. My hero still...

  • This is #1. I've never seen the whole thing. Thanks for posting. I LOVE THIS. It is unreal seeing everyone jamming away. Alice is great, the man and the whole band.

  • The intro sounds way too much like "Set the Controls to the Heart of the Sun" by Pink Floyd...

  • The comfy chair!

P.s. Lets not get stuck in the Pink Floyd, arthur Brown , Doors Comparisons. alice had his own thing going.

  • Black JUJU is great,,,,Go see Denny's 5th Ave Vampires

  • Awesome, was just recently re-listening to Love It To Death after not hearing it for a few years. This incredible song closing out side 1 of the original LP. Written by bass player Dennis Dunaway. Never forget the ORIGINAL Alice Cooper band!!

  • This has got to be one of the best Alice songs that has ever been written. I'm curious as to why this hasn't been in any setlist since... well since... early 70's I believe.

  • Sounds like early floyd.

  • @vanjangovich Any song or part that could convince me that your not sounding like later Barret?

  • @RoknRolUSA i meant like saucerful and umma gumma period when they were more experimental.

  • This song has always been my favourite Alice Cooper song!!

    Thanks for uploading.

  • Doors - ish?

  • @davehoganmusic n00b

  • @davehoganmusic I agree, but back in that day Jim Morrison and Alice were pretty tight, soooooooo.... lol

  • Classick! The band kicked ass and Props to Alice for making through.

  • that line up were the best.

  • that was a true hard to find. Grew up with that song and never knew the name of it till now. I could never find it. all I could remember is it was cooper, waiting for worms ans PARTY!. Great cut.

  • my favorite alice days . thanks for the perfect video.

  • There's something so tribalistic about his early band's early music.

  • Truly MIND BENDING! Can you imagine members of the older generation sitting down in front of the television and THIS is what's in their face?!

  • my fave song from my fave album

  • same here.

  • It's actually February 4th

  • This is early Alice Cooper one of my favorite tracks off his Love It To Death album..... his original band was great!!!!!!

  • alice cooper is awesome

    he makes creppy cool

  • That organ sounds killer!! I realy liked that about Alice Coopers early music, how they used realy creepy organs and combined them with hard guitar rock. That realy acheived an amazing and distinctive musical effect.

  • The is the best Alice Cooper song!, & i've thought that ever since i was 7.

    Alice cooper group forever!!!!!

  • Minde-bending tune and a great performance peice to boot! I also think that Alice has one of the most unusual and coolest physical apearances of any star ever! He has a realy great face, what with the high cheeckbones, the sharp nose, the large brow and slightly deformed sloping forehead. He truely was born to be Alice Cooper.

  • I never thought I'd hear Alice do a little scream lol it's quite a good song, I had to see what it was like coz the 'black glu glu' what he uses in one of his 'Along Came A Spider' trailors made me wonder what the song was like.

  • Awesome..love the drumd to BJJ

  • 100% psychedelia

  • Yep, definitely written in and for that time period. It's amazing how much change their music made from the early days! I never could get into this song as much as, say, "No More Mr. Nice Guy", though. Still a classic, just the same! ; )

  • PROOF that good things can happen if you take the risk!!!

Just look at Cooper here, LOL!!!

This was one of the most talented bands ever, they also created DARK WAVE and DARK METAL with out knowing. Siouxsie named JUJU after this obviously!

  • Hope I'm still rockin' half as hard when I'm 60. Btw, you made my list, samhaintrinity. No, not that list, my "tunage" playlist.

  • He just turned 61 February 8th! ; )

  • She might have, but juju, in witchcraft refers to a charm or a fetish.

  • The classic garage sounding insane and shocking Alice Cooper.

It's sad that he did hair metal for a few years in the end of the 80's.

  • I love all of his albums and he needed to survive in the rock atmosphere of the time.

  • some hair metal was cool. anyway alice was pretty much the god of hair metal.

  • @mrbeaniebaby

Hair metal is not a distinct category of music.

  • @bigpoopie69 I have mixed feelings about that. On one hand I'd say Thank God! on the other I wish it were, then I could hunt it down and put it out of it's misery!

  • the best AC tune...true psichedelia at the best...still very modern

  • marilyn manson who? This is the real thing folks...

  • @lucyfaire1980

as mm #1 in my own country im think that alice cooper is the one cause if there was no alice then there was no mm but is not mean that is not give us the options to listen for modern artist (but not cheap and assholes like green day)

marilyn manson, slipknot etc are nice as the modern artist but of corse 70's means the best music that will never comeback

  • @lucyfaire1980 HERE HERE

  • what album did this song appare on with sunarise can you help me find it please

  • Alice Cooper - Love It To Death

  • Love it to death amazing album

  • BLACK JU JU! my fav AC song! 5/5!

  • Yup. It's from Detroit Tubeworks. Alice also did Eighteen and two takes of Is It My Body(only one of which was shown) for this Tubeworks episode.

  • 5 Damn Stars. ALICE!

  • This is my very favorite Alice Cooper song ever. Bodies need their rest...

  • This is great footage, thanks for putting on here!

  • this band is a real killing machine... black juju great stuff

  • iam sorry but i like this guy

  • Art.

  • This is the coolest thing I've ever seen on YouTube.

  • What do you get when you put together theatrical and shocking garage rock with glam image? You get Alice Cooper...

  • Is this for the Tubeworks? Holy shit...I think it is! Does anyone know?

  • Alice i thought i told you to stay away from my panty hose! -Mother

  • the song was inspired by set the controls for the heart of the sun. this is one of the greatest moments in rock n roll.

  • sounds like a ripoff of pink floyds "set the controls for the heart of the sun".

  • You're right! What a rip-off.

  • It's not a rip-off, just the drum beat sounds like it. this song is called "Black juju" by the way.

  • sort of, but not really. i mean of all songs to call a rip off....there's a similarity but it's not even partly the same.

  • not partly the same? how about the same tom drum beat, and the organ riff very similar, and then jamming on the whole repetitve thing like floyd. also sounds a little early doors-ish, but arthur brown was way ahead of alice in this shock rock style anyways, and goes way beyond him too...much more imaginative...its not an 'act' with arthur...with alice it is.

  • the drum beat is the most similar, but it isnt quite the same. the organ has the same sound, but it's definitely not the same. and "jamming" isnt something one band came up with for one song and everyone is copying them.

and arthur brown...im not gonna go into the "way ahead and way beyond" with shocking people thing, because that's extremely vague, but he never had the voice or the presence and most importantly the songwriting or the lyrics alice had.

  • Marilyn Manson's father.

  • alyc 4ever!

  • black juju is the shit!

  • Yes - I've been on the lookout for the *rest* of this Black Juju sequence for a loooong time now (I say rest because only a portion is shown in Prime Cuts)

  • It would be so greeeeeeeeaaaaat to listen to black juju on show.... Go on Alice, after all these years, we love you ! Chris from France

  • Black Ju Ju!!!
