  • @rakhshtt not Nirvana dude, you should look it upp. it's actually David Bowie's song that Nirvana makes a cover of. =)

  • Beautiful 1000 times

  • I feel the movements and stops are beautifully put together. I is as thought he KNOWs what I want to say and play... Beautiful and brave.

  • Dear ARYT13, I wanted to post a response to this video, but I did a mistake at the first attempt. So please delete the "amazing dance..." response. And take a look at the Qashqai song...

  • Original music is from David Bowie :

"The Man who sold the world"

Namjoo has done a great job anyway.

  • عالیست.

  • thank you Mohen

  • Namjoo is great. Sure, he's stolen the melodic hook from "The Man Who Sold the World." Musical theft is a way of honouring the composer, and it's been happening since J.S. Bach (or earlier).

  • keep to what you know mohsen... you are good enough that you don't need to copy anyones music.

  • bahale ke David Bowie goosh mide NAmjoo...lol... khoda rahm kone miad invara gir nadand behesh...lol

  • It is David Bowie, its a little weird but I like Mohsen even more knowing he listens to Bowie.

  • Namjoo is doing a solo US tour in Sept:

SF NY DC SD & LA.

Please go and support him: beyondpersia. org/

  • In ahang aslesh male davood maghamie vali eb nazar man namjoo ghashangtar khooonde

  • sounds like nirvana song .'THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD'...

  • That's not Nirvana's song. It's originally by David Bowie.

  • It sounds like western and eastern pieces morph into one another in a beautiful way that bears witness to the universality of music. cheap imitation crap? Check out some of the "new" Farsi Rap (not all) or the western music with Farsi lyrics. Namjoo IS ORIGINAL in this sense. If you can dig Maghami and Bowie, then you should be able to appreciate what Namjoo is doing. I wonder if these people who say Namjoo has stolen other people's music think that Elvis is still alive!

  • Hi Guys!

Reading the comments I saw it appropriate to mention a couple of things. The melody is originally by David Bowie and Nirvana actually covered it. The other thing is the song was originally sung by Davood Maghami and not Abbas Ghaderi. Nonetheless this is an absolutely amazing performance by Namjoo.

  • chera hame az nirvana migan vali kasi delesh baraye abbas ghaderi nemisooze; morghe sheida, melodi and sher az oone. (not that i'm a big fan of abbas ghaderi - khoda be door; no offence to abbas ghaderi fans!).

anyway a great song and a good adaptation of both songs.

  • dude he is but this song is orginaly from NIRVANA , the man who sold the world so ...its a bit duggy but still its gr8!

  • The original is from David Bowie, not Nirvana.

  • He is a genius in Persian music.Greets!

  • He stole the guitar melody in this song from the song Nirvana - The man who sold the world. Check it out you will see what I mean..

  • David Bowie wrote and sang The man who sold the world in 1970. Later on Nirvana and LuLu covered it again. Nothing wrong with covering the music. It's not steeling.

  • Not quite right! Nirvana covered the song with the orignal artist bleesing.

Mr Namjoo has used the melody, (nevertheless in very ingenious way, has to be said), but I am not sure if Mr Namjoo has ever acknowledged the origin of this particualr music!!

  • As far as I know, this has not been "officially" distributed by Namjoo (none of the videos posted on you tube are). It's not easy to judge, how do you know he has never "acknowledged the origin of this particular music"?

  • I don't know, that's very reason I wondered "if he has ever acknowledged the origin?"!

  • damet garm(bachehaye aryashahr)

  • one of the iraninan musical phenomena.

awesome adaptation of bowie's song. well done

  • This guy is an iranian phenom, like it or not He has taken Nirvana's song and adapted it to persian music masterfully, from what I here He can carve his name in persian music history forever,... I hope He knows this himself and sticks to what brought him to this point. Mohsen I love you, I think you are the God's gift to Iranian music after a long time, please stay to your beliefs and do not let them distract you. And if you are ever in dallas, tx look me up because I want to kiss your hand.

  • honestly u're fucked..so stfu plz and listen to ur crappy music

  • Not that much though. It's Setar, I think. (At least, in the live concert, it was)

  • it is clearly plagiarism; it is stolen music. and not only this one. jabr-e joqrafiyayee is stolen too. and perhaps all his works!? it's a shame

  • dorod; mesle ahange Davod Maghami hast mage na....?

  • it's not a Nirvana song. Nirvana covered this song from David Bowie at their unplugged concert.

  • You are right. It's originally made by David Bowie.

  • The music has been stolen from Nirvana's song "The man who sold the world". You can find it on Youtube.

  • I won't call it for stolen, but inspired!

David Bowie was the creator of this melody, and since have been used by many artists as Nirvana, Lulu, Midge Ure, Krisen de Beauvoir and ....

What Namjoo has done here is an excellent seamless bridge between two different world of musics.

  • Bridge between two world of musics? Come on, Give me a break.

This is no inspiration but taking the music theme note by note and adding some music. The whole production is such a poor mixture of inconsistent parts.

  • Dear NotAnEvilPersian,

Life is not black and white. I very much agree with Niaiesh that Namjo has been inspired by that music. If you listen to this music carefully, you notice that Mohsen uses the same Esfehan song that Haideh was singing, "Mastiam Darde Manoo .."

It is easy to criticize people. Very easy. What is difficult is to encourage individuals to do better in what they are doing.
