  • I heard that it was good for joint pain? Yes?

  • I take flaxseed oil supplements daily. They are 1000mg softgell tablets. The tablets are very large and hard to swallow. Would it be ok if I just squeezed the oil out of the softgell and onto a spoon, and just consume it that way? I'm pretty sure it would be fine, but I figured I'd ask just incase there's some reason why I shouldn't do it that way...an answer would be much appreciated=)

  • @BabyCakes343 Softgels are made so they are more easily digested into the body. Instead of breaking them apart buy the flaxseed in its oil form, unprocessed. This form has to be refrigerated, consumed once or twice @ 1Ttable spoon daily. Have a look at the oil data compared to the gels, oil is about 10-15x more concentrated and is alot more beneficial than 1g softgels.

  • @wassem189 Very helpful, Thanks...

  • can you ingest to much flaxseed oil?

  • Are Omega-3's good for Erections ?

  • @ThePhantomLash in the long run it might be since it helps with the cardio system and thus might help with vain and artery flexabilty, leading to a slightly better erection. however, L-arginine is usually the most common supplement for that. its an amino acid that helps with blood flow and is a pre cursor to nitric oxide, which causes erections. i would consider doing research on it and asking your doctor. with L-arginine, the effects are felt almost immediately.

  • @ThePhantomLash

She gave me a good bone"r".

  • Is it good for endormetriosis?

  • i need this

  • what about vegetarian flaxseed oil

  • @IdentityHero Yes their is, you can take a flaxseed tablet called FlaxFit which has the benefits of the oil but also fiber and cancer fighting lignans. Check out flaxfit.com for more info on it

  • Flaxseed oil is a great Omega 3 source, but consuming the actual flax seed is much better for you because it has that additional fiber and cancer fighting lignans that the flaxseed oil leaves out. And since you can't just eat the seeds they need to be grinded up which can be hard and annoying to work into your diet. But there is this chewable Flaxseed tablet now called FlaxFit that has all the benefits of the grinded flaxseed powder in a chewable tablet form. Check it out....flaxfit.com.

  • What about soaking it with the same level of water for a few minutes and mix it with salad or something else? Does it have the same effect as buying the oil as such?

  • @Helenelalala I think i produces the oil that way.

they need to be grounded and then put in to water. after that you can notice that it has thicker propertis.i think thats the oil. :)

  • @G36n yes but when I put the flax seeds into the double amount of clean water for at least 15 min and best to several hours it also produces this oily liquid. But most videos I see on youtube talk about grinding flaxseeds. So I wonder if there is anything bad if I do not grind it. I seem to digest it very well.

  • is flax seeds good for rheumatoid arthritis ?

  • This is interesting.

I'm a vegetarian. I take flaxseed oil tablets and also get omega 3s from excellent sources such as walnuts, olive oil and soy oil.

Flaxseed oil contains ALA which is essential and enables our brains to make all other omega 3s, rather than fish oil which only contains EPA and DHA.

Fish is most often highly contaminated (mercury, cadmium etc.), so we shouldn't have more than 2 servings a week.

For these reasons, I think flaxseed oil is a better supplement than fish oil.

  • @Boeu13 Does Flax have DHA? I can't find this on the web.
