It's art that's being created in front of their very eyes. And it's not just one topic, it's many, so I'd imagine that her art moves many different people all at the same time. People become emotional due to the combination of the music, the atmosphere, and the diverse topics. I'm sure if you asked them why they are crying, they'd probably say something like "it's beautiful".

Art is highly subjective. Yes, the author's trying to convey a piece of history, but that doesn't mean everyone in the audience or on Youtube for that matter is going to receive the same message. All you have to do is listen to any piece of music to understand how art is subjective. People have different interpretations. Can you look at art in an objective way? Yes, but that still doesn't mean everyone is going to feel the same way when dealing with a said piece of art.

As all Russian things, this comes from the heart. There is no music nor literature that compares to that of Russia....Tchaikovski, Rachmaninov, Michail Sholokov, Dostoyevski, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Solsenitsyn, etc. to name just a few.
