  • i love watching bunkai!!

  • The Italian karate National team is really fantastic. This is not a real bunkai, though, it's better to call it Kaisetsu - with much coreography :)

  • chinto?

  • bertthepickle: but yes, that is bunkai

  • Fantastic athleticism, technique and control but that's not bunkai.

  • Can anyone who doesn't understand what's going on here say "control"?

  • this is just so efing amazing!!!!

    really perfect♥

  • not fluid enough and the moves were not realistic very entertaining though bit like wwe

  • senza parole!

  • Exelente bunkai!!!

  • thats because it is.

  • yah , and the Italain team is a best team on all world

  • nice kata and bunkai

  • a me ribadisco nn piace il karate ma questo nn vuol dire ke nn lo apprezzi ... veramente bella dimostrazione

  • karate is good makes them proud......

  • incredible kata and bunkai

  • Fantastic performance and great skill. A tribute to traditional karate

  • If you don't understand karate, plesase do not make a comment about it.

  • It's called Kata, not Kumite. So Cassluvzyou is right. All motions are pre-defined in Kata. Kumite is actually real fighting.

  • is this about developing muscle memory or something?

  • It's about diciplin, perfecting your techniques, coordination and so on. It's also a form of meditation, where you become one with the technique

  • obviously you know nothing of karate

  • great gankaku bunkai !!!

  • ahh dats wot bunkai is, seriously in real combat i doubt it wud be dat pretty.

  • errrr............. dats wot the karate championships are........ seriously that look rly fake and unrealistic, or they are judges on their acting and not fighting =D

  • it looks that you don't a sh..t about karate... that's bunkai, it means application of the movements of kata, obviously that's no a fight!!!... and believe me it works on the streets, and on it, it ain't fake, it's very realistic.

oh, bye the way, any of the champions there, could woop your ass in a blink of an eye in a real kumite (combat).

  • ya got my support mate,

alot of these techniques you would most likely never need to use but thats not the point, the application of these moves correctly enhances the athlete or karateka if you like, making them a better fighter.

we can all punch and kick yes but, what luca, vincenzo, and lucio (team italy) do takes real talent and skill.

  • very nice

  • che spettacolo..i kata sono la massima espressione di quest'arte!!!

  • Unique I would say. The whole thing was bunkai rather than having one guy once in a while showing parts of the kata before or after the bunkai for that technique.

The techniques were so clear. You could actually easily relate the bunkai with the kata without watching the kata first.

  • That's silly, and unrealistic. The guy has his back turned to the second attacker for quite some time, and the attacker just stands there. It is so choreographed. Let's see the guy do this in real time with random attacks.

  • Sorry! Didn't realise it was Bunkai! I should have read the description!

  • Very good technique!

  • C'est magnifique!
