  • I'm new to the raw food thing, still learning, great to see some aussies doing it.I bought some cacoa, my first impression is that it's over rated, and David Wolfe is flogging the stuff...he comes across as a snake oil seller but all this stuff is probably better than McDonalds aye ;)

  • @bluesdog88 Yeah people either seem to love or hate David Wolfe. Whatever he is now I'm grateful to him for getting raw to the place that it is. And yes! Definitely better than McDonalds. LOL. Have an awesome day! xx

  • Jen's your such a yummy human :). For me when it comes to food i eat what my body tells me to. I have been doing some cleansing of the bowel over the past month or so, just using chia, psylium, turmeric and bentonite now and then. Anyhow over that month i have unconciously stopped eating so much. In fact i have to force myself to eat the food that i do have in the house which the typical rubbish. I feel my body wants nutrient dense but little amount. A small smothie with a cacao been will fit.

  • @dnorric Hehe! People will think we know each other better than we do! LOL... I've missed your presence recently. It sounds like you're almost spontaneously fasting! A good clean out. Hugs! xx

  • Very nice videos. Thanks for posting about making Coconut milk.

It's so expensive to buy here in Canada.

You mention about binging on the Cacao..

Isn't is so strange, that when you binge on healthy rich foods, it upsets us more than binging on the garbage. Is this due to the simplistic nature of the 'bad' foods?

The foods derived before processing of course has those high levels of nutrients so this can throw you off for a longer period. Odd isn't it.

  • @freqazoidiac Thank you for this comment and you're welcome!

I think we worry about binge eating on high fat raw foods or other healthy foods because we fear falling back into old habits. That's my personal fear but you're right. It's odd. I often have to put things in perspective by reminding myself of how I ate years ago. That fixes me!

  • thanks for your frankness - respectable and appreciated :)

  • @sufiyo Thanks Sufiyo. <3 xx

  • Hi Jennie!

My husband & I are staying on the Gold Coast for a month in November. Can you recommend any good fruit farms so that I can stock up while I'm there?

  • @pinkbeam. November is gorgeous here! There's a bunch of farms in Northern NSW that have bananas mostly. There's also greens farms around. Tropical Fruit World is worth a visit too. They have varieties there that not everyone has.

I recommend going to farmers markets and organic markets and talking to the farmers there. See if you can do a tour of their farm. I'm going on a farm tour this week. One of my favourite tomato grower! Yum! xx

  • Great Jennie! Yes, I get asked what I think of cacao as well, and I can't say that everyone should be eating copious amounts of it, and I'm not sure how healthy it really is but I feel good knowing I'm making a product that I believe is healthier than dairy chocolate and the other products out on the market. And yes, eat chocolate if you want to, in moderation! :) Thanks for being honest Jen and I agree with most of what you've said :)

    xoxo

  • @veganpea. Thanks Pea! xx
