  • I`m not that bothered that one day I`m going to die but dammit, bands like Rush make me want to live forever

  • 3 people are...nevermind they just simply fail

  • This is on par with Pink Floyd. Heavy indeed.

  • thumbs up if you think RUSH ELP AND YES SHOULD GO ON A WORLD TOUR!!!!!!!

  • Hopefully anyone that listens to this can appreciate the musical brilliance , even if yu are not a rock fan. This takes me back when i listened to this album every day. My first concert was Moving Pics - awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @laurensernets Regret? U crazy! lol. Today is one of the greatest days of yer life dude!

  • Listen all who are at the sound of my voice... This is trully the greatest song of all time... What can this strange divice be when I touch it it gives forth a sound!!!!!!

  • this shis fuckin dope son

  • kind of like planet of the apes, in a way

  • Going to see them at MEN on 19th. Been a fan since 1977, when I was a girl!

A bit sorry that they are not including Xanadu, the Trees, Lakeside Park or Fly by Night on the set list....just for old time's sake!

Stil,l really can't wait. See you all there.

  • Saw these guys yesterday night drove down from London,Ontario to Auburn hill, michigan to see them at the palace. UNREAL! although when Neil brought out his drum solo he looked fucking beat half way through. The play such a good show though! OH CANADA

  • @laurensernets not cool mann. get with the program !

  • 2112 has me tripping some serious space balls

  • Freedom of expression vs. the govermnet.

  • @laurensernets were you just born? it would make sense....but then again, you wouldnt have the mental capacity to type or even think for yourself if you were a day old...i suppose my question answers itself. good day to you sir

  • i watch and hear.

  • when it comes to original-unique-interesting lyrics or story- i think of old time rush. i figured out sometimes you gotta take the time to sit and read the lyrics to really appreciate the song,,,,if you like 2112 you will like "hemispheres" album as well

  • Quality creative music is purposely suppressed by corporate media as part of a campaign to dumb-down the public with simple minded junk. Garbage in, garbage out. The same is true for movies - too much unreal CGI with no story or characters to back it up.

  • I Love Satan.

  • @WuukaYourMama Your attempt at trolling is childish at best.

  • @WuukaYourMama dude you are a beast

  • plz dont waste our time by telling how "great the band is".

you probably got a lefty agenda.

  • This is a Really Great Classic.

This band was Awesome Live in Canada back in .....

    nevermind...lol...

  • Green Gay has a Broadway play for "American Faggot Idiot Shit" and yet this treasure has to wait for the 24th installment of guitar queero/cock band to even get SOME recognition today. Typical.

  • @BeeyondNeptoon Tell it to steven tyler on american idiots????????

  • In the words of Stewie Griffin: "I'll do to her (lois) what douchebags did to the guitar!"

  • @BeeyondNepton "Real music replaced by baboon shit.". Amen, bro!

  • @BeeyondNeptoon Todays society is about distraction(if u know what that means)however music will never be the same because its all been written and the COPY of today makes the new generation think that its just old.

  • listen to my music and hear what it can do.

    amen

seen rush about 15 times now. my first concert i ever seen was moving pictures....i've never been let down by this amazing band.

  • they should amake a 2112 musical play or movie...i play would be cool tho!

  • @iHaVeD1Str3ss

Go buy the new Guitar Hero

  • @iHaVeD1Str3ss This has come up many times. But Rush has yet to approve of a 2112 film/play.

I would LOVE to see a 2112 movie in the fashion of the old 1970's dystopia films like Soylent Green.

  • 3 people are priest of the temples of syrnix

  • @iHaVeD1Str3ss I lol'd

  • bought this 8 track twice and the Lp one..Saw them play this in 75 i was 15..smoked half a lid..One of my top 3 shows EVER...

  • @jrmyclry2 One of my favourite solos EVER. It's so metal it doesn't even make any god damned sense.

  • happy days :)

  • This song explains the true beauty of the guitar

  • these 3 guys have more musical talent then EVERY artist in what is known as the "main streem of music" witch is bulshit music cuz bands today dont put nearly as much time into there music like the originals like zepplilen, motorhead, the beatles , and RUSH .... all my friends say rush sux cuz geddy has a high voice,,,, well i told them to fuck off cuz geddy can play, sing, and perform better then the bull shit artist they listened to..RUSH FTW thumbs up

  • 6:17 is amazing

  • I can remember as a kid being teased, even ridiculed, for being a Rush fan. Today Im proud to say that Im still a Rush fan and that Rush is still going strong, while all the other bands that everyone else loved are all long gone.

  • @gaybayawsung67 WTF ridiculed? 0.0

  • @gaybayawsung67

I LOve Rush!!! They are the real deal..Ive been a fan since 81 and like you say they are Stronger than ever!!

    Im with you Brother!!!!

  • @gaybayawsung67 The greatest 3 piece ever - this is one of my all time favourites-tells a great story.

  • @gaybayawsung67 Dude if any one ever messes with you for listening to rush bust them a hard one right in the face... Only pussy's would frick with you about rush they are the gods of their own realm!!!!

  • @gaybayawsung67 Amen brozilla....>:-[=]

  • @gaybayawsung67 not all ...not all... there's some other survivors who jump in the same boat with Rush... it's a sort of musical Noah's ark

  • Actually it's 12-21-12 "there's not much more to, not much more to live" Caress of Steel hope there's a couple of spare seats on an outbound sapceship

  • I CAN PLAY THIS WHOLE SONG ON THE BASS.....IT'S SUCH AN AMAZING SONG!

  • I CAN PLAY THIS SONG ON THA BASS!

  • Awesome original Studio recording from the Album, These guys are amazing I wish someone I knew loved this music as much as I do.

  • GOD BLESS Geddy, Alex, & Neil...Paid to see them in concert 6 times and left wanting to give more money. Unbelieveable talents providing a pur musical show.

  • Mere song or prophecy like Beeyond says. :(

  • @BeeyondNeptoon mate or sis your so true only thing to do take the crap and have away day just feck um put it on sit back and chill out STOP THINKING GO ON SAY OK but tomorrows a great dawn feck their shit ask your shelf you doing OK ARE YOU YOUR ON LINE?

  • GOD BLESS REAL MUSIC and musicianship.

  • This Album was among the first i ever listened to. And i still to this day would choose this band over any other. They in my opinion have a level of creativity and awe-inspiring genius that is far above the rest. even with the new album they're releasing. For those of you who don't know much about Rush but enjoy and respect their music already I'd recommend listening up on some of their back stories. it would only deepen your admiration for them i assure you. Awesome people with awesome talent.

  • this is and always will be amazing. and my thoughts on the new popular music is that we should just let it be and not really discuss it negatively or positively even though its not near as good, just leave it alone in its own terrible-ness.

  • I couldn't agree more

  • @BeeyondNeptoon I completely agree with you. 100%.

  • @BeeyondNeptoon

couldn't agree with you more!!!! these guys grew up in my neighborhood and i will love them forever!!! best band of all time

  • @BeeyondNeptoon i agree man presentation is like when i first started listening to the greats and my friends thought because it wasnt new if wasnt worth listening to well fuck all people who think the sshit they make today is good

  • i think its just a a shame that this has only 30, 000 views their the third higest multiplatinum album seller in the rock indrustrty. and this is the higest selling multiplatinum album they made. even today 30 years later. no band comes close to them. their EPIC!!!!!!!!

  • @BeeyondNeptoon Metal and Punk still have soul imo. Same with some more artsy stuff like ambient, and noise.

  • @BeeyondNeptoon COHEED AND CAMBRIA

  • Read Ayn Rand's ANTHEM to see where they got the story for 2112.

  • @rocknrollfawn you mean Atlas Shrugged

  • @AndThenThereWere11 Actually, no. I actually mean The Fountainhead. Just got through watching Beyond The Lighted Stage documentary and they talked about it. The story is very close to Anthem, though, which I have read. It is nowhere close to the story of Atlas...just read that this summer. The Fountainhead sits on my shelf waiting for me to have the time to read it next summer.

  • @rocknrollfawn : and here i thought i was the only one to read that

  • i cant agree more

  • 1984 put into music, with a bit of a sci fi twist just to keep it fresh...

thank you neil peart, for wonderful lyrics. even if you are a dick in real life.

  • @BeeyondNeptoon

I agree, 2112 was Rush's do or die album. They raised the standard at the time for all bands for the last 40 years. Working man was the seed.

  • @BeeyondNeptoon There's a pretty good amount of new music that is good. You're just not looking in the right places. Not to say that this is bad at all. This stuff is incredibly good.

  • @Armagedn12 Queens of the Stone Age and Arcade Fire are really the only bands I can say I get into post 2000...... OK, The Shins also... :)

  • I'd probably like this band if the lyrics weren't awful and Geddy Lee's voice wasn't a poor man's Robert Plant. Having said that the instrumentation is immense.

  • @BeeyondNeptoon dude that is so true

  • @Schilcote

I agree. That shit they call rap today is embarassing and insulting and degrading to people everywhere. Some classic rappers from like 80's-90's are entertaining and completely clean

  • @BrokenShoreLineInc Or dare I say his name... Justin Bieber?

  • @bittergunowner12 You crossed the line. His name is forbidden here in the land of REAL FUCKING MUSIC!

  • @BeeyondNeptoon

what the fuck are you talking about?

Music has not gone to shit.

Fucking Disney has taken over and 15 year olds are getting record deals

But music is alive and strong. Just look for it.

  • @BeeyondNeptoon I predict a riot!

  • Heck, the drum fill at 3:42 itself is better than 98% of what passes for "music" these days.......but then again, listening to the underlying theme (pun intended) of this work of art, I should not be judgemental."Let them make their own music".....Indeed. I'm going to see this band again later this summer, and I count myself as blessed. They are three of the most amazing musicians to ever come together in the history of music. In my not so humble opinion. Peace.

  • this brings back memories of going to sleep with headphones on while this was playing on my 8 track tape player that was a long time ago

  • Couldnt agree more.

  • Rock bands from the 70's and 80's are awesome rush pink floyd and queen are my favourites.

  • @jrmyclry2 These Men are sooo overlooked in the talent arena. Way better than 95% of music out there !!!!

  • guys im fifteen i should like the new age music but its horse shit so that tells that todays music has no meaning i could read a dr seus book nd throw some rhymes to attempt music but this..this cant be done in one day it takes time to play from the hear nuff said i love rush nvr be another as good

  • who knew tuning a guitar could sound so good?

  • Yes we know . it's nothing new .

  • Looks like music is about dead. We have to hear that Rap crap!

  • @tjpacker100 dont abandon hope there will be new bands.

oh and rap isn't that bad you, have to feel the music. the complexity of the music is irrelevant, just the emotion that was put into the song/rap and its presentation. you shouldn't be critical of other people's art

  • (LP) ~ our computers are no-thing new beloved/zzz to wit: please REF: Mathematics 101

  • I am so glad i was 17 and got to enjoy this band live very year at the London Gardens. These new bands dont even come close to these guys. ACDC is a joke compared to Rushes talent!!!

#1 forever in my heart neil, geddy and alex.

  • Magic lyric content

  • i agree wat u guys said its true,

most if not all music today pretty much sucks ass

  • you guys are right... todays music is the shittyist shit i ever heard ... it makes me want to throw up... no joke... songs and bands like these should be somewhat known for what they have done to music... its to bad these days today to... because kids in school wereing zeppelin shirts or metallica shirts are getting made fun of for not wearing hollister or a fuckin lil waine shirt ... trust me i know

  • @joeymann603 i know only a couple of people who wear hollister and lil' wayne shit

then a good portion of my school wears rock bands like beatles, zepplin, and rush

    oh and metalica

  • got your point but instead of whining about what music has become people maybe should pick up guitars bass or get a drum kit and be creative again i dont know where you live but in my city(berlin) their are tons of local clubs with tons of good musicians and bands

  • @BeeyondNeptoon very true man i play guitar in a metal band and every band wants to be like that screamo hardcore bs that sucks ass and our band is getting passed over time and time again when it comes to playing gigs beacuse of this rush is one of my biggest infulences and i will be damned to let this music to contiune to take over long live real music

  • @papiecho18 Even in post hardcore/hardcore/metalcore, there are gems around. Take defeater for example, they have two outstanding hardcore concept albums. Get them and tell me its shit. There is good amongst all the generic music in these genres. What type of metal do you play btw?

  • @papiecho18 i kinda like being underground tho, for some reason...

  • @papiecho18 screamo hardcore?

Do you even know what hardcore, or screamo mean?

  • @papiecho18 you are in a good road dude

  • I know the feeling im 16 all i like to do is play guitar and listen to music i want to start a band but everybody wants to do that scremo shit. I hate it with a devine interest. so yeagh i know the feeling.

  • @papiecho18 You should play in the Underground scene. Imean yeah it sounds degrading to be known as 'Underground' but seriously, some of the BEST bands i've heard in all genres of music, music that is Underground that isnt mainstream, have an AWESOME and original. Plus alot of people buy Underground now because the mainstream music is getting too shitty. Underground is the way to go!

  • @papiecho18 -- Can't agree more, listening to the local radio DJ's on there show before they got kicked off would have great artist on. One point they made the artist in the older bands needed to spend about 10,000 hours to get any good. In contrast i can go to co-worker's house and he uses a synthesizer that can make him sound like what ever or who ever he wants to. While i would agree my friend is great musician, modern electronics has gotten us the wealth of crappy pop of today...

  • @ZooDoo4U shit just keeps on getting easier and easier.. soon our toilets will start wiping our asses for us...

  • @papiecho18 Yeah Rush is a very influental band I agree with you

  • rush is awsome :)

  • another great cruising memory song. Beautiful chords!!

  • This is great! I love musicians music.

  • Neil Peart: A perfect objectivist

  • he wasn't cast out until he found the guitar and tried to convince the priests of Syrinx that others should hear his music.

The priests actually destroyed his guitar according to the original album cover. The man committed suicide because of it.

  • He actually commited suicide because he saw the worlds of the elders, realised what the priests were doing, and that his life was meaningless. He took his own life, hoping for happiness in the next one.

  • Sort of like our government now.....Something to think about, from a 50 year old musician heavily influenced by RUSH. I remember when 2112 came out and we were all blown -away, thinking that government force was limited to other places around the world, and this album. Today I'm not too sure.

  • It's a story about a man that was cast out and on his own he found this guitar and found music, remember the tuning of the guitar in the beginning. Then he takes this music to town and the priest is trying to stop him from playing it because it creates free thought. A classic of all time for sure *****

  • ok this is not a song this is an anthem!!!!!!!!

  • Fitting, as it was inspired by Ayn Rand's Anthem, IIRC.

  • love this whole album

  • Comment removed

  • Its meant to be taken as a Coming of Age Tale .

  • 4:29

  • Breathtaking!

    Rush´s my life!!!!!

  • drum fill at 5:50 is sickkk

  • exactly... Led Zep (no concept)... why do you think they got that name. great for the time, but, not enough for a 30 yr career... Zep would have been the first Aerosmith... recycling old chords with no spin....fade away... Rush Rules!

  • @humbledrumah Led Zep is a great point in this music style beginning... And Rush isn't as good as it was...

  • i hear you dude. in a month i have listen to more Zep and definitely glad they shaped the scape with Cream, The Who, etc etc... but they just weren't polished. I do like Zepplin, they just are too loose for some. peace jah~

  • @humbledrumah kk, I know what you mean, the were not progressive like Rush, they were more hard rock, Rush is definitely more creative

  • the world is rock'n and it is like a fever! you are the man.... the original hoopaloop ( i invented that mang) you are the man for your reply. thank you. happy holidays. peace.

  • 3:13 onward is awesome on an epic scale

  • I love this part of the song... you can share in the ultimate love for music that the members of Rush so obviously feel

  • Why not TV shows do it and music is far more entertaining

  • love 6:18!!!!!!!!!

  • yes. the album tells a story, it's utterly amazing.

  • Is There Any Problem?

  • no i wasnt trying to be rude i was just curoius cuz i saw 3 parts and i didnt think they were the same song.

  • AMAZING!! Simply...AMAZING!!

  • Awesome! That solo at the end of Presentation is so kick ass!

  • Amen

  • @Tostitos199 Hell fuckin yeah. It doesn't fit the plan(8) and then, fuck, it comes in amazingly :D
