I met Ed in New Orleans at a jazz bar. After being approached by everyone in the bar and not being able to enjoy the music, he got up and walked out but as he walked by my friend and I who had not wanted to disturb him, he placed his hand on both our shoulders, leaned in and said, "I appreciate you guys, you boys have a good night." and he walked out with his group. A real gentleman.
shit! Ed will be missed. If Johnny was still alive I'm sure he would of helped Ed get out of his financial mess, let alone get him swift medical treatment in europe or something.

Ed died of a clogged colon. Years of stuffing embezeled tax dollars up there had finally caught up to him. The chief coroner of the autopsy said that if it was'nt the legal tender blocking his colon that killed him, it would have been the infection from the paper cuts that would have done him in. Ed tried to sue the U.S. treasury department for neglecting to post disclaimers on U.S, dollar bills stating that they would cause harm if rammed up a persons rectal cavity without lube and protection.
A lot of people thought McMahon was the devil ...I think after his skills faded and he started costing the Chicago Bears games and demanded a trade afterwards a lot of people in Chicago started calling him Lucifer !! I can't believe he is dead..he wasn't very old and will be always remembered as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever !! RIP Ed McMahon.God Bless you.
Once you're done sucking that donkey dick, how's about you tell me where you live. So I can fucking obliterate that disrespectful little face of yours...hmm?

Yes, this is very haunting! I cannot think about anything weirder than John Adams and Thomas Jefferson dying at the same same year, Independence Day at almost the same hour. What is happening now??
Ed, Johnny, and Doc were the originators of what others have failed to reproduce. Especially disappointing are such shams as Letterman who panders hate and insults where Ed & Johnny worked from love, admiration, and sincere humor. Their kind will never be seen again.
Ed McMahon & Johnny Carson were such a great team together on the Tonight Show program.I'll always miss that line when Ed McMahon would say,Heeere's Johnny. He will be missed.Rest in peace,Ed.You were great on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.Zebrina
I will not be surprised that Jerry Lewis will devote the MDA Telethon to him this Labour Day. I have seen him many times on the Johnny Carson Show and I will not forget that "Heeere's Johnny!" and his many jokes with Jerry on the Telethon. May he join Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett in heaven.
PS: CBS, how come you never announced his contributions to the MDA Telethon too?!?
There are certain folks you can alwayscount on for a kind word, moral support or just a good natured ribbing. Consistantly without malice. That is my impression of Ed McMahon and he will be missed. Watching Johnny and Ed along with Letterman in the 80s defined my childhood. My sense of humor was formed by these great men. I still cannot believe Carson is dead, now Ed. Time sure flies. RIP in peace dear sir. I will kick out my own Phil Hartman impersonation for you:
The '80s? Try the late '60s, when I was coming of age! From about 8th grade on, I watched Carson religiously every weeknight. Of course, most of the dolts I went to high school with thought I was "weird," but I was quite happy just to leave them behind....
Dont make it sound like a generational thing. Carson and McMahon were great together in the 80s. I was happy to have witnessed them in that short span of the 80s. When Letterman leaves I doubt I will tune into any late night show.
My whole point is that it WASN'T a generational thing. Ed and Johnny's appeal went out to people of all ages old enough to understand for 30 solid years. I just count myself fortunate for having been able to experience it earlier and longer than some.
Letterman is Johnny's real heir, and if it weren't for him, I probably wouldn't be watching late night TV anymore at all. I also miss Steve Allen, who could reduce me to tears of laughter with an offhand remark.
Ohh, Ed. He brought so much love and camaraderie into our lives. We knew he was our trusted spokesperson on both the marketing and audience sides of all broadcasts. He is definitely a star whose lumination will be sadly missed. Rest in peace, Ed. Godspeed.
