If your college marching band is more worried about intonation, you all must not be that interesting to listen to. So if you’re in the mood to critique, let’s see you try to play that high. They use a schilke silver plated trumpet mouthpiece. It's a certain type of mouthpiece that help scream easier. Most bnad direstors don't allow these mouthpieces....It's like cheating, It also makes your tone sharper.

Not the Schilke 6A4a, that is an all purpose mouthpiece, and your tone still sounds good. I could even pedal tone in tune with that mouthpiece

@dagangstah 6A4a is even smaller than a 14A4a...with Schilke Mouthpieces, as the first number gets higher, the diameter of the cup gets larger. 24D is the largest one they make, and it's like playing on a bucket...its freakin huge. Bachs get larger as the number gets smaller...
