  • sad video wish i knew what lines u showed

  • Does anybody know where the train tracks at 1:00 are located?

  • You can thank CSX, I wish they didn't abandon rail

  • i hate it when they have to close and abandoned things down

  • They must be tearing up these rails right and left these days considering the high price of scrap metal.

  • scrap prices arent that high for rail and cast iron these days, its more for the land value

  • at 1:01

    i wish i lived there

  • what is the name of the song playn? i love the piano

  • I dont remeber, I made this almost 2 years ago and used utube's audio swap for the song. Hope this helps

  • @TrainGuy18

ill just watch the vid for the misuc

    great job!

  • It appears the one at 1:45 may still be in-use or possibly inactive. The block signal in the background is on and it appears the crossing signals are in good shape. Now the tracks have seen a lot of weeds and grass, but this one may still have some hope.

I've always found abandoned rail lines fascinating as well. Luckily there are no abandoned lines in the Denver area (where I live) today, but once upon a time we were a huge rail hub. We still are, but not as much as we once were.

  • @msk578 Correcting my own post, the one at 1:45 is now known as Grant's Trail through suburban St. Louis. This was the Kirkwood Cutoff. The picture was taken probably in the early '90s just before the line was fully abandoned and rails pulled.

  • hey in columbus,ga they have an abandoned line that runs straight through town and the old southern(i think) depot has been recreated into a burger king, in a train theme!

  • No wonder the jobs are down, they close the lines down and plants. They need to fix them so there's more jobs it's simple and I want to help do it

  • @CSXandSpartanfan33 The plants are closed because the manufacturing is now off shore. We don't need the expense of running empty trains. We don't fix old railroad lines which will not be used! As a railroad stock holder, I don't want my company to pay you to fix railroad lines which will not be used!

Think about it the next time you are in Walmart!

This is the way it should be! Let them stay abandon & rot!

  • @Cockroach2008 Why shop at Wal-Mart & kill more jobs?

  • @Intransitman I don't shop at Wal-Mart!

  • The one at 0:19 iksnt abandoned its just a yard limit... End of the sour track!

  • The concreted rails look like they are at the resort in French Lick, IN.

  • This sounds weird but any time I stand on a set of abandoned tracks, I get this eerie feeling...almost like a sense that a train is going to come barreling down the line at me.

  • That is great!

  • Do you personally take these pictures? Are all these abandoned tracks located in the same place?

  • I recive them all the time in emails but some i took.

    No its across the country

  • @metalbynumber 1:44 had a yellow signal?

  • the signal is for another line

  • @TrainGuy18 Actually, it's a red signal, and it is indeed for this track. This is the old Carondelet branch of the Missouri Pacific RR, where it joined the Mainline to Kansas city at Kirkwood JCT, MO. Up until about 2001, a local train still served an industry a few miles down this track, and although the rails are now gone only a short distance behind this photographer, the short stub track is still used by maintenance equipment. The signal and power switch guarding the mainline still remains.

  • I love this stuff. I don't know why. But I love this stuff.

  • i just find it intresting

  • Some nice shots here. Where is the bridge in the opening shot?

  • Willow FL on the old SAL manatee sub

  • @TrainGuy18 Thanks. Look a bit like a trestle on the Central Of Georgia line that used to run outside of Cave Springs, GA. A few years ago I did a glamour shoot there. At that time you could still easily walk down the tracks. It's very overgrown now but the tracks are still in place.

    Nice video man.

  • yeah there is alot of those out there with interesting stories behind each

  • u should check out fayetteville nc there are tracks visible under some streets.

  • are you sure that the photo at 1:45 is abandon?

  • yep the diamond has been removed

  • I think the reason why he asked was because theres still a lit signal there. ODD!

  • oh theres a nother track over there.

  • it's always sad to see abandoned lines and see there are people who think that the train is a dinosaur and yet it is still the best transportation that exist thanks for sharing ! !

  • 1:06? Griffin, GA

  • Alot of lost tracks here in the Nebraska Panhandle the UP coal line from Veteran Woming Through my hometown of Bushnell, Nebraska.....covered in prairie grass and yucca plants....its sad to see.... I was a track welder for 3 years for UP....and to think of the guys that kept that track up and running in their day.....Great videos.

  • Thanks

  • i think the shot at 0:40 is the camas prairie 2nd subdivision

  • and I think your right

  • Sad photos of bad transportation policy.

  • yep!

  • @Intransitman If the transportation policy was so bad, why was this permitted to become what it is? It is a good policy to permit the railroads to abandon service, equipment & right of ways which are not profitable.

Face it, branch line & short line service is a dying industry. In my opinion, it is just survival of the fittest! Darwinism of railroads!

  • @Cockroach2008 If the same happened with roads/streets then that would be Darwinism, though that isn't the situation here.

  • @Intransitman As I see it, the survival of the fittest. Railroads are financially unfit to make these industries profitable again. Trucks are better or off shore it!

It is the order of the global economy!

  • @Cockroach2008 Again that's politics, not economics.

  • @Intransitman Economics is money! Money effects politics!

  • @Cockroach2008 *affects

    Learn to speak english.

  • @Cockroach2008 What we have is corrupt & that's why we have bad transport policy.

  • @Intransitman What is corrupt about it? That when an institution finds elements of it's business it is permitted to dispose of it or close it? Is that corruption?

To me, this is just the evolution of what is natural. These relics have out lived their service life! Time to re-purpose them or tear them out. But don't force industry to maintain them!

When they come end of life or not profitable, permit industry to dispose of them. Don't force them to financially maintain them. That is socialism!

  • @Cockroach2008 Socialism for road & capitalism for rail. Now I wonder which mode will come out on top?

  • @Intransitman Neither! They both loose! Survival of the financially fittest! Railroads are loosers!

  • @Cockroach2008 You've already demonstrated your lack of knowledge on this subject, stop pretending to know what you're on about.

  • @Paraffinmeister Your opinion, you are entitled to it! No pretending here. I know my business.

Since you don't work in this industry, you should stick to something you know!

However, 4th Officer of the watch over the pot scrubber sounds like you have a long ways to go to be anything more than the ship's flunky!

If that is how you want to live your life, so be it.

Become a steam locomotive scrapper, you can be much more.

You won't understand with you head wrapped around the choo-choo!

  • @Cockroach2008 Class 4 OOW or 4th engineer, if you can't understand and remember something that simple what hope do you have of ever achieving anything in the real world. No wonder you feel the need to make up a fantasy life on here.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister I think you meant 4 OOWOTPS! (4th Officer of the Watch over the pot scrubber). There is a position lower, but we won't talk about it here since you seem to have a little going for you, (not much), & you have paid you dues to rise above that.

There is no fantasy, I am for real, I do run a scrap yard & we have been on locations to cut apart steam locomotives which had been out of service so long, they were beyond economic reason to restore. Besides, there was no place to operate!

  • next time you come across one of those steamers or other Railroad engines give me a call! i know sum people who would be intrested

  • @Cockroach2008 No I meant class 4 OOW, that is afterall what I'm qualified as, if you have a problem understanding and accepting that then you have some serious mental problems.

It is most definately a fantasy since you've demonstrated through your total lack of knowledge on the matter that you clearly don't run any such operation. Stop kidding yourself. You aren't fooling any of us anyway.

  • @Paraffinmeister Since you are a professed pot scrubber, you are qualified to work in the kitchen clipper & nothing more. I know enough to know how to junk the steam locomotives which none are worth saving.

  • @Cockroach2008 I think I detect a note of jelousey in that remarkably childish comment there.=P Since I am 4th engineer I am qualified to be left in charge of the engine room (ie taking over a watch) and m responsible for the maintenance of much of the auxiliary equipment. Argue and make childish comments all you want, those are the facts.

You've demonstrated on numerous occasions that you know nothing about how to "junk" anything let alone a steam loco.

  • @Paraffinmeister No jealousy what so ever. I don't really care what you do! I junk old equipment, metal items & should a steam locomotive come my way again soon, I would be delighted to tear it apart for you!

And if some people need CASH QUICKLY, steam locomotives make an excellent source of parts & assemblies which can be sold with NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Gauges, whistles, bells, lights, marker boards, builder's plates all sell quickly.

They are easy to get parts from!

  • @Cockhead2008 Aye right, as if (on both counts)!

You aren't all that bright are you, repeating this same old crap over and over and over again when you've already been told that noboy cares what you say.

  • @Cockhead2008 No, there was a definate hint of jelousy in that exceedingly childish comment. I suppose it's only natural that you feel jelous seeing everyone else make something of their lives while you sit and rot infront of your computer trying to start fights on youtube and inventing a fantasy world for yourself.

You've quite clearly never tried removing parts from a steam loco if you think it's easy.=P Give it up ok, we've heard it all before and don't care.

  • @Paraffinmeister Think what you want! You have tried to impress us all with your lies of being a 4th Officer of the Watch. But, no proof provided that can be checked on-line. All lies & false claims from you. I can't be jealous of someone who lies to me or cannot provide verifiable evidence.

Gauges, whistles, lights & other parts are all easily obtainable & sell very well with NO QUESTIONS ASKED! From what I have heard, those parts are all sold for CASH, PLENTY OF CASH!

    It won't be long!

  • @Cockhead2008 I gave you proof, you chose to ignore it. All the proof you've provided me with has been pretty easy to discredit. Who's presenting the more believable case here? Also, it's plain for all to see that you're jelous.

All you're achieving by repeating this crap about stripping locos for their parts is incrimenating yourself even further if anything like that does happen.

  • @Paraffinmeister No, I did not ignore it. I tried to validate it but it is not accessible. So your credibility is also in question. Until I can validate, you are just another loud mouth on YouTube to me.

I have not done anything wrong. I just state the facts that the parts from steam locomotives can be easily obtained & fenced off. It is just like saying there is money in a bank which can be obtained & spent. It is a fact!

    Tough up, Sonny Boy!

  • @Cockroach2008 You did, the first thing you did was cry fake when I gave you details.=P You're in no position to be calling anyone a loud mouth on youtube given that you're the biggest loud mouth I've ever come accross!=P

Erm, yes you have, conspiracy to felony. It's still a crime. You'll need to tough up where you're going.=)

  • @Paraffinmeister My poor little misinformed friend! I did not say anything about your credentials were falsified. I said since they can not be validated, I must assume they don't exist.

Think of me as you wish. Believe what you wish. I am not concerned!

I just dispense information! They are not secrets, classified or protected in any way! It is just information. I am not conspiring in any way.

I am not going anywhere! Here to stay!

Junk all the remaining steam locomotives!

    Tough it up, son!

  • @Cocklover2008 Eh, yes you did. It was the first thing you did when I told you them.

Still conspiracy to felony, still a crime and you're still guilty. Deal with it.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Think of me as you wish. I am simply posting my comment as YouTube invites!

If anyone needs FAST CASH, the steam locomotives make a great source of parts which can be obtained & sold quickly with NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Gauges, headlights, number boards, builder's plates, marker lights, engineer's cabin controls, whistles, bells & plenty of other articles may be sold quickly! All for CASH!

Selling those parts is a quick way to achieve financial security & independence!

  • @Cockbrain2008 I do think of you as I wish and it's an opinion shared with pretty much all of youtube. You're a prick, simle as.

Easier way to get FAST CASH, get a job and earn it you inbread numbskull.

  • @Paraffinmeister Simle? What is that? I think it is your phrase that means you agree that the steam locomotives should all be junked & cut apart for foundry melt. I am delighted you agree!

I have a job, a good job! I scrap metal & cut it up for foundry melt. I have a business & I employ people to work for me.

Steam locomotives make a great source for collectible parts which sell for FAST CASH! Gauge sets, whistles, bells, headlights & many, many other good salable parts.

    Easy pickings!

  • @LoverofCock2008 *Simple. It's called a typo.

It's pretty obvious you don't have a job in the scarp metals industry. Stop lying, you're fooling nobody.

Get off youtube, get a job and get a life.

  • @Paraffinmeister It is your poor ignorance & spelling.

I do have a job operating a scrap metals business. You don't have to believe it. I don't really care.

I am here to stay. All those parts from steam locomotives sell nicely for FAST CASH! NO QUESTIONS ASKED! Gauge sets, headlights, whistles, bells, marker lights, builder's plates, number boards & so much more can be quickly removed & rapidly sold.

Gone forever! Junk all the remaining steam locomotives!

  • @Cockhead2008 It's called a typo, deal with it.

Err, no you don't, it's pretty obvious to anyone that's ever read your comments that you don't.=P

You may find it quicker and easier to make some FAST CASH! NO QUESTIONS ASKED! if you just got yourself a job you inbread cock loving mutant!=P

  • @Paraffinmeister People of higher education don't make typographic errors. You make plenty & I believe you to be the result of a poor education system, your personal desire to remain mired in ignorance, no motivation & probably the product of a broken family.

Your father & mother probably abandon you at a very young age & having these conversations with you for the last 2 years, I can understand why!

I have a good business: a scrap metal operation. We cut up all junk. And steam locomotives!

  • @Cocklover2008 Eh, yes they do, everyone does, even nobel prise winning writer occasionally make mistakes. It's called being human, so deal with it.=P

Very accurate description of yourself you gave us there.=)

  • @Paraffinmeister Yes people do make errors, but the highly intelligent ones check their work closely & don't permit them to be published. It reflects poorly on them, just as your sloppiness reflects upon you. Proof reading is the mark of a highly intelligent human, something you will inevitably fail at.

So how many ships have you had a hand in wrecking? It must be a small number for after the 2nd time, nobody will give you a berth!

The steam locomotives are destined for junk, very soon!

  • @Cockforbrians2008 Except in my case, I don't deem you worthwhile of the time and effort taken to proof read the messages for you as you are nothing more than worthless scum and a drain on society in general.

To date I've sailed on 6 different ships, and all 6 are in full working order. Go look them up, you've been told their names already so there is no excuse for your ignorance.=P

    In your dreams perhaps.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Ok! Don't proof read your drivel. It only reflects upon you. If you don't care or respect yourself enough to write intelligently or spell, I don't care to pick through your extremely poor command of the language to understand what it is you have to say. Just another fool on YouTube with a 6 year old mentality.

You have ship wrecked or grounded 6 different ships? That is quite an impressive record! No wonder you can't find work!

The steam locomotives are going to be junked!

  • @Cocksucker2008 Why are you even making such a big deal out of proof reading anyway? It's a comment on youtube, not a scientific paper.

As I said, there is no excuse for your ignorance. You know the names of all six of them now go look them up. Well done for demonstrating to us all what a tool you really are.

  • @Paraffinmeister Proof reading is a display of one's own intelligence before one speaks. Since you don't it appears you don't put any thought into what you right, you reply by habit without any forethought.

I have looked up all the vessels you "claim" to have sailed upon. They are there. Your participation is not publicly verifiable. I don't believe you had anything to do with them.

Your ignorance is well demonstrated. You failed the public school system! A fine example of failure you are!

  • @Cocklover2008 What i right? Pretty epic fail on your part there!=P

Well I sailed on them and I have the documents to prove it so tough up and deal with it because there's no way you can argue with me about that.

You're in absolutly no position to call anyone a failure.=)

  • @Paraffinmeister I don't believe I failed at all! If you did sail on these as crew, then you probably do have documents to that effect. However, at this point, it is just a verbal claim on YouTube. No verification can be made via this means. I can argue about it all I want, if I cared to, but with out verification, it is all noise from you.

Again, you don't make sense. The first whatever you typed is nonsense! Not even a sentence if that is what you intended.

Clearly, the work of a failure!

  • @Cocksucker2008 I think you'll find you did. It's spelt "write" not "rite". If you're going to lecture me on spelling and grammar then you might want to check your own first.=P

You're one to talk about varification, given that you've given us NONE! Not once for any one of your claims.=P

Again, you're in no position to call anyone a failure.=)

  • @Paraffinmeister But you have failed! Miserably!

"Varification"? What is that? Is that one of your new tools you would use to scrap a steam locomotive? It has a dandy name.

I gave you all the information you need. Once again, you failed the public school system. I don't think the product they turn out in general they turn out is bad, it is the material they have to work with. You are of the poorest quality & ignorant stock.

Epic failure! Tough up, junior! Steam locomotives are being junked!

  • @Cockbrain2008 *Verification. You still failed. You're also behaving like a child. Grow up.

  • @Paraffinmeister Interesting enough, you need to do everything twice to get it right! No wonder you have not been on board ship in a long while. They are looking for people who get it right the first time. Do overs are not permitted in ship sinkings!

The steam locomotives are doomed! They will be in the scrap yard soon being cut to pieces. Until they get there, the parts like gauges, headlights, whistles, bells, marker lights, number boards, builders plates & other parts sell for CASH quickly!

  • @Cocksucker2008 What gave you the idea that I've not been on board ship? The fact that I've been on youtube? Many ships have internet access these days. Go do your homework before making statments like that.

    Not going to happen.=)

  • @Paraffinmeister I never said you weren't. I am aware of the telecommunications capability aboard ships. I have scrapped plenty of equipment which came from ships when systems were scrapped or replaced.

I have gone through plenty of SeaTel equipment.

It will happen. You just continue to bet that it won't. It is a losing bet, but I will take your money! I don't need it for my business makes plenty scrapping stuff.

The steam locomotives are going to be ripped apart by those who acquire parts.

  • @Cocklover2008 You just said I hadn't been on board ship in a long while. It's plain for all of us to see!

Your buisness? You clearly have no buisness.=P

    Never going to happen.=)

  • @Paraffinmeister Believe as you wish! I do have a business. If you are convinced or not is none of my concern.

Parts of steam locomotives are very profitable items on the black market. Gauges, whistles, bells, headlights, sight glasses, marker lights, builder's plates, gate valve handles just to name a few of the highly coveted parts.

It has happened & will again. Believe it or not! It's up to you.

Now, I have to find some other steam locomotive videos to post comments to. It is encouraged!

  • @Cocksucker2008 Deranged fool. It's quite remarkable, absolutly everything you said in that commet was utter bullshit!=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Thank you again for the VERY FLATTERING COMPLIMENT! I SINCERELY APPRECIATE it!

You can ignore it if you like. You have been told!

The steam locomotives are going to be torn apart & pieced off in the black market.

  • @Cocklover2008 IS the CAPS lock BUTTON on YOUR keyboard BROKEN?=P

    I know I've been told and I know it's bullshit.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Just checked for you. No the Caps Lock Button is just fine. It is YouTube when it sees I have been paid a very high compliment. YouTube loves me! Just face it, YouTube knows a good person with a good mission when it sees one! Thank you very much for your concern!

Believe what you want to believe. The parts of steam locomotives remain high on the target list of highly salable parts on the black market. It is just a matter of short time before they get hauled away in pieces!

  • @Cockjocky2008 Ok, in that case you might want to learn how to use caps lock because at the moment you're using it at random.=P

Deranged inter bread mutant failure you are if that's what you think.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister There is no problem with the Caps Lock. I have mastered that. I use it for emphasis. You may see it as random usage, but it brings out a fact! The steam locomotive is junk & a target for parts which can be sold on the black market.

It is going to happen. It is not a thought, it is a fact!

  • @Cocksucker2008 I'll believe it when I see it.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Keep watching! It will happen!

  • @Cocklover2008 I've been watching for a year now, still ain't happening.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Keep watching! It will! As the divide between the haves & have nots widens, people are doing what they must do to obtain money to live, day to day! I have many transients come seeking work.

I offer them work cleaning up the scrap yard when I can. I tell them about steam locomotives, the value of the parts upon them, how to remove them, tools needed, the black market, storage locations, how & when they are guarded (if at all).

They are interested. Just a matter of time.

  • @Cockless2008 You said that last year. Nobody believes a word you say.=) Tough up and learn to deal with that fact.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Nobody believed the Japanese would bomb Pearl Harbor. Nobody believed that there was going to be an attack on US soil 10 years ago.

Go ahead! Stick your head in the sand like everyone else. You have been told!

    Junk the steam locomotives!

  • @Knobjockey2008 Really bad example, many people did believe both of those would happen. It was only because of a few arrogant jobsworths (rather like yourself) who belived it wouldn't and therefore allowed it to.

The only person with their head in the sand here is you, you ignore all the facts you're presented with.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Call it a bad set of examples if you like, but they are facts!

By your own tacit admission, you do believe it is going to happen. That is good. Keep believing! It will.

Sleep well! Your junk yard operators are standing by! We wait for these to become economic drains & bankruptcy looms for these organizations. When they do, call the scrap yard!

We are here to help you dispose of them. It won't be long!

Junk all the remaining steam locomotives! Cut them apart & melt them!

  • @Cocklover2008 I made no such admission, tacit or otherwise. If you think I did then you need to learn how to read.

  • @Paraffinmeister So you do believe the steam locomotives are headed for the junk yard. By your own statement, "many people did believe both of those would happen". Do you believe it will happen?.

You must! That is why you continue to defend them so vociferously.

Oh, I better not use big words like that. You are uneducated & probably do not understand.

I am delighted you believe the steam locomotives are headed for a very quick & final demise. When parts are removed, they don't last very long!

  • @Cockjockey2008 You obviously need to learn how to read properly if that's what you think I said. Also, start proof reading your comments, they are riddled with mistakes.

  • @Paraffinmeister You need to read your own postings. They are so full of double negatives, (another too big for you set of words), you don't realize what you said or what it means.

Junk all the remaining steam locomotives! Cut them apart & send them to the foundry for melting.

  • @Cocksucker2008 Practice what you preach. You really do need to learn how to read if you think my comments are filled with double negatives (if you even know what that means).=P

  • @Paraffinmeister You still have not reread your statement. No surprise to me or my friends! You never achieved reading proficiency in Scotland schools. Much less writing proficiency!

Better reread this message from your own virus laden YouTube account , "many people did believe both of those would happen". So this means, that, "many people do not believe that the scrapping of the steam locomotive will happen."

News flash! It is going to happen soon!

    Delightful! Absolutely delightful to me!

  • @Cockjockey2008 In Scotland schools? Sure you don't mean Scotland's?=P Also, that was not what I was saying and if you found my statement that confusing and hard to understand then you have real problems. I think perhaps you should take a good look at your own reading and writing abilities before commenting on the abilities of others.=P

News flash! You're a missinformed deluded fool living in your own make believe world. I's never going to happen.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister I had several people read your convoluted statement! (There is another big word you most likely will not understand!) They read it & confirmed it was a double negative statement!

One said it must have been written by maybe a 5th grader! You failed again! You must have been promoted in school so as not to socially penalize you. Your educators knew you were not up grade level, but passed you on to the next grade in sympathy!

Junk the steam locomotives! Cut them apart, melt them!

  • @Cocklover2008 Try and pick holes in what I say all you want, it won't work. You've clearly demonstrated on numerous occasions that you have no grasp of the english language. Scotland schools being the latest in a huge list of stupid schoolboy errors.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister I am not trying to do anything about what you have said. You did it to yourself. It is working for several other people have been reading your responses & think it is just your ignorance & lack of education. If you don't want to believe it, that is okay!

Now, as we proceed to see the junking of the steam locomotive & events happening which furthers their demise, we must move on to the real issue at hand here!

The steam locomotives make an excellent source of souvenirs!

  • @Cocksucker2008 Further proof you have WAY too much free time if you're going through my comments in such detail. A busy man such as yourself shouldn't have that much time to waste. Is this perhaps because you're not as busy as you'd like to have us believe?=P

Keep telling yourself that. The rest of us all know it's bollox.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Believe as you like! It is OK with me. Besides, I can not do anything about what you believe in nor do I care too. You do not have to like it.

I am busy enough to operate my business, meet my obligations, see to it that my crews are happy & search for more sources of scrap which we can process.

The steam locomotives make great sources for parts which make valuable souvenirs! Gauges are a hot seller on the black market. Sight glasses, too!

    Scrap the steam locomotives!

  • @Cockroach2008 Oh what lies. =P

  • @Paraffinmeister Believe as you like! You are entitled!

The steam locomotives are better off cut apart & melted in a foundry!

The end of the steam locomotive is coming!

  • @Cockless2008 So why do you try to force your missguided beliefs on me and everyone else? And don't say you're just commenting as youtube invites because we all know that isn't true.

  • @Paraffinmeister I am not forcing anyone to believe anything! I repeat again, "Believe as you like!" I think that is clear instruction to regard it as you like.

I am just making a comment! If it is not true that YouTube encourages people to comment, then please explain to me why the "Reply" button is there. It does not say, "Reply with a comment that everyone will agree with!" There are no conditions placed on making a "Reply" to YouTube that I have ever seen or aware of.

    What is wrong?

  • @Cockroach2008 And you say my comments make no sense.=P

  • @Paraffinmeister Your comments don't make sense. You have not answered my question. What is wrong?

The steam locomotives are great targets for collectible, salable parts! There is plenty for everyone! Gauge sets are good sellers for CASH at "certain" markets. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

What is wrong with that statement?

  • @Cockroach2008 You do actually speak English don't you?

  • @Paraffinmeister I do! What language do you speak?

Junk the steam locomotives! When they are junked the fireboxes can not be used to burn the Quorans any longer!

Cut apart & melt the remaining steam locomotives!

  • @Cockroach2008 thank you for saying that true thing

  • @likitty20 Your welcome! It is nice to know the steam locomotives are doomed for the junk yard!

  • @Cockroach2008 You clearly have no concept of how to run a buisness. Also, the basic laws of physics dictate that road haulage is less efficient than rail.

  • @Paraffinmeister Railroads are only effective in large bulk haulage. Individualized infrequent service are more practical with trucks.

I do have a concept of how to run a business. Railroads are not the solution to every problem. These days, they answer fewer than ever before for timely service!

If they were superior, bus service & airlines would not enjoy to patronage they enjoy.

Yes, yes! It is long past the time to junk the steam locomotives! Off to the scrap yard to be cut apart & melted!

  • @Cockroach2008 Way to back track on your earlier statement.

  • @Paraffinmeister Thank you!

  • cool photos,i know what this is about all too well,we lost our Narrow Gauge railway in 1988 :(

  • Do you work with any Railroad conservation groups in Newfoundland?

  • nope,but maybe i should....

  • Yeah, the conservatives sold out Newfoundland for highway funds, go figure!

  • And Considering we were SUPPOSE to get a divided highway all the way accross the island, which was never compleated! Sections were, from St.Johns out to Whitburne, and near Grandfalls, but not the whole TCH. Well Well Well.....is it any surprise>?
