This song is speaking to me right now... My best friend, who seems to be perfect for me, keeps going back to this asshole who abuses her, rapes her, and treats her like shit. I like to consider myself a pretty nice guy, and it torments me that she keeps going back to him. I guess some things in life aren't meant to be understood.
well, got no money no job live home with my parents, act crazy from time to time, don t shower as a protest, cut my own hair when i feel like, i stink, and i might soon become homeless for choice, but still HOW COULD YOU.....
They were such a good band but sadly under appreciated by the younger generation who were so into Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden at the time! If Spin Doctors had hit their fame at the same time Blues Traveler and Counting Crows did, maybe their downward spiral wouldn't have been so bad. "Pocket Full Of Kryptonite" is still a classic of the '90s.
@MattHatter - I think their timing wasn't bad - I mean, it could have been worse. They had a very Edie & New Bohemians sound but with much better elec guitaring (Edie struck one hit Gold four years prior). Remember this was only a few months before Blind Melon and Gin Blossoms owned MTV with their megahits. If they hit in '94, they may have been lost in (as you say) the BT, Crows shuffle --- also VH1 crossroads shuffle with Jayhawks, Hootie, Wilco, etc. It wasn't all grunge.
we saw the them in London Jazz Cafe .. what a decent bunch of blokes and such timeless great music. they took time out for their fans and even announced our anniversary for us. In fact we traveled from Florida to London to see them and will again when they are in Florida again. Go Spin Doctors! Teresa and Ralph
This song is almost 20 years old and still fantastic! It was my favorite on the whole album. I introduced my 20 year old daughter to it and she loves it too! Just goes to show that great music is timeless.
@Hancock06 - Ref: Shakespere's Hamlet - And, no, its not anti-semantic - they were Danish families of nobility in Shakespere's time... See Wikipedia on Rozencranz and Guildenstern
Dig the Spin Doctors and this song. Another tune where I just love the lyrics. It's sweet and reminds me of all crushing I did on the girls that had boyfriends back in my "formative" years haha. I got Pocket Full of Kryptonite, great album. They're still together too. Half tempted to venture out and see them if they're ever in my area.

It's funny he references Hamlet, considering he looks like Shakespere. Or is it Ginger Baker?

@jhill2704: I don't, but the music was better than now, although 90's rock or pop was the worst before 2000's.
