  • 3:28-3:34 ...ok, so this isn't a Taurus, but still, listen to that low-end! It's absolutely a Moog.

  • nice playing bro!

  • ELECTRO!

  • God i love IT

  • that is one high quality filter function, there.

  • With all the other expensive synths you have, why not just get a voyager key? :p

They go for about $2,200 second-hand on eBay

  • i just got my LP, it is very nice!!!

    having so much fun

  • Ordered mine as well, has it got any reverb or delay on it?

  • no onboard effects, but those are never good anyways.

  • kl, why not?

  • Well some are good, but its always better to do them externally. No reason to put them on the synth, that just drives up the price even higher. Your already paying 1.5 grand for a 2osc monosynth, after all

  • Makes scene.. what external reverb unit would u recommend?

I'm currently looking at the Alesis and Lexicon (budget).

  • Well i currently just use either software effects or the effects built into my electribe s. I am not however the person to ask for suggestions.

  • For Jazz Fusion / Jazz based rock would you recommend a Dave Smith Prophet 08 or Moog LP?

  • Toss up, but the LP is monophonic so can only really do leads and bass. Great for solos. The Prophet 08 however can do leads, bass, and so much more, since it has 8 voices. Both are nice, but if I could only have one, it would be the Prophet.

  • or pair a LP with an electric piano or other cheaper polyphonic synth that can play pads?(an alesis synth for example)

  • or play chords using 3 LP's :P

  • i love the contrained, high resonance low cutoff sound near the end. I have one of these babies. I think the Modulation is broken somehow. I turn it right, bluelight descends back, but the effect and bluelight does stay if i hold it. i really hate it can anyone help?

  • Perhaps try the forum at the moogmusic dot com website.

  • no luck =( you've never taken apart one have you? i wish i could say it was a software glitch, reallistically why would it just descend given i turn the knob one way only to see and hear it slowly drop in modulation noise

  • that doesnt sound good to me

  • me either. it seems fine if i leave the knob in the middle only going up a little or so but no spastic turning or else its a pain situating it. i should really look into posting on that moog forum

  • How do you get noise out of a Phatty? I'd like to know...

  • wait... is that a joke?

  • Yes, I am a year late. I meant the white noise source, and I found it. I don't think it's a true noise generator though.

  • You are using external delay and reverb though hey?

  • Yes, I am using a Lexicon MX200 effects unit.

  • Hi, I just wanted to say this video is awesome. I plan on buying a moog one day when i get the money, I am a college student, a recording nut and musician. Korg and Moog products are both awesome. i own a micro korg. I also like casio.

  • This is another example of how brilliant you are on the synthesizers.*LOOKING UP TO YOU* You're so lucky to have all those synthesizers. I have a Korg X50,but I'm going to expand it with more in time.
