Dg-747 PROJECTOR

I love my DG 747, I set up a home theater and project on my wall. I have about a 15ft diagonal viewing area. It's huuuge and the quality is really not that bad. I watch all kinds of movies all the time.

Nice for the money.I want an HD one next but in the mean-time a 300 buck projector that runs my DVD X-box blue ray surround sound and computer from 1 station really saves me alot of space.(not that the blu-ray is doing any justice)To clean it i use a Popsicle stick and Windex sprayed on Q-tips attached with rubber bands I cut away the leftside(looking at the lens)where the air vents are and give myself a nice hole to clean all sides of the screen every 3 months.Same bulb for a year came w/spare.

Hey I know you don't have the projector anymore but is the image quality of it at least as good as standard non-hd dvd's? I am guessing so since the resolution output is slightly higher.

@brainboob. Its ok quality.  I thought the image was nice but when I got the acer k11 it was a big difference. The acer k11 was better in everything. The dg is good but its loud. Dust goes inside and then you can see it on the image. You have to unscrew it and clean the lcd inside. But its kinda hard to get it clean. The dg is ok for a first projector. After the acer k11 I won't go back to dg. So the image quality is ok if this will be your first projector.

I understand. I am leaning toward this one because of price. Not to repeat myself but is the image this produces as good as standard resolution non-HD DVD's?

Of course but anything 90 inches or less is still dvd quality right?

That's funny. But yea HD quality isn't the most important thing to me. As long as it's not all pixellated at anything below 90 inches.

can u measure how far back you have to set the projector for a perfect screen

@AndreyAndreychuk Looks great man! I I think from this video and a few others im inspired to get one. Do you have any regrets or any warnings about getting this? I am guessing it is well worth the money?

Its nice but it has a blower fan that is kinda loud.  In the day time its OK you can turn the volume up but at night when people asleep you have to control the volume. And the dust goes inside the projector and you have to open the projector and wipe the lense of.

@AndreyAndreychuk THank you for the heads up. Now that I watch this video again, I realize that is the noise that I am hearing. 1 last question, is it hard to open it up to clean out the lense? If you posted a video of a movie playing that would be cool also haha. Thanks again for your help. Its hard convincing the wife haha

@ProjectHorrorChannel. There is like 6 bolts to unscrew its not that hard plus I don't think ill get to dirty inside my projector is in the basement and it gets pretty dusty. Ill make another video of the projector with a movie and MW2. @ProjectHorrorChannel

How does it look with a little bit of light on. I am trying to find a cheap projector for a slideshow at a wedding. It won't be very dark but it won't be very light.

I used the projector at my brother's wedding and they turned the lights off but there was still light from the windows. The slideshow looked pretty good.

Little light will not bother this projector
