Perhaps not 100% British cars but you will find British engineers and designers behind many of the best midrange European cars. A team effort from people across Europe. And its not like German, French or Italian cars are 100% designed and engineered by natives.

Germany can have Mini. Britain is happy with having 6/10 of the worlds F1 teams based in the UK with British engineers and craftsmen. Also World Rally teams, the worlds fastest vehicle (Thrust SSC), the worlds fastest production road car (Keating TKR 260mph+) companies such as McLaren, Ariel, Noble, Morgan, British built cars such as Aston martin, Land Rovers, Bentley etc. UK dominates motorsport, google Motorsport Valley, Oxford. "An unparalleled community of knowledge", "world-class design".

For people who don't know, this car is not meant for production but the Mini Countryman (SUV) will make production and this car is crucial because the subtle design cues would most likely be similar.
